That's the best version of Wait a Minute I've ever heard!!! And I've heard lots of versions of this song and I even met the guys from the Seldom Scene. I know they didn't write it. The first version I heard was by Johnny Rivers.

I’ve had that album since it first came out and it still remains one of my all time favorites. The Hey Boys was just awesome. Such a beautiful clear voice. I wish he had become more well known. Saw him in John Denver’s band one time.

No, it was written by Herb Pederson in 1972, He sent it to John Duffey of Seldom Scene, and they recorded it. In the meantime Pederson recorded it on his album Southwest. Pederson says as much at a concert where he and Chris Hillman play it. YOU should look it up.

@shenvalley25 John Starling originally sang it with the Scene... but either way, Seldom Scene rocked it in my book! It's too bad that there aren't more bands around like the Seldom Scene. They're my favorite bluegrass band.
