《獻給母親的一首歌》
「變形」德語: Metamorphosen, 是德國作曲家 理查·史特勞斯晚年所作，乃一首以23件弦樂器演奏之樂曲
此曲作於第二次世界大戰結束前數個月，在1946年1月首次演出
本曲是作曲家悼念二戰時，德國受到的巨大破壞而作，尤其是文化殿堂慕尼黑歌劇院、歌德故居及德勒斯登等所受到戰火之摧毀
本曲的基本音樂動機乃取材自貝多芬的《英雄交響曲》中第二樂章 葬禮進行曲，在結尾部份可以在低音部聽到葬禮進行曲，而樂譜的結尾，作曲家亦註上「悼念」（In Memoriam）
我採用了德國作曲家，理查史特勞斯的音樂 Metamorphosen「變形」創作。
這首曲目，用以形容母親這一生忍受的辛苦、孤單與折磨，在她離開之後，我才深刻體會她的痛苦。
她的一生，如同每一位堅毅的母親一樣，從少女如何轉變為人母，在這段過程中，受盡台灣社會對一位母親的期許與要求，逐漸隱藏自我、消弭內心所有對人生的質疑與心痛。
這首舞，獻給所有母親們，也獻給台灣所有堅毅的女性

《A Song for my Mother》
Metamorphoses (German: Metamorphosen) is a work for 23-piece string orchestra by German composer Richard Strauss, composed towards the end of his life.
The piece was first performed several weeks before the end of World War II, in January, 1946. The work was composed to memorialize the great losses Germany suffered during the war, especially the Munich Opera House, the Goethe Haus, and the city of Dresden, which were all destroyed.
The main musical inspiration for this piece was taken from the end of the second movement of Beethoven's Eroica Symphony, "Funeral March." The funeral march theme can be heard in the low strings, and the composer marked the end of the piece with , "In Memoriam."
For this new piece, I have taken the music "Metamorphosen" by German composer Richard Strauss to illustrate my mother's life of hardship, loneliness, and pain, which I only felt for myself once she left us.
Her life was similar to the life of all mothers: from a young lady learning how to be a mother and to shoulder all the demands that Taiwanese society places on a mother, to gradually hiding her true self and her sorrows and misgivings towards life.
This dance piece is dedicated to all mothers. It is also dedicated to all of Taiwan's strong, determined women.
