Man, the interviewer finds the most mundane comments so hyserically funny - it's totally bizarre. French comedians must not have to work very hard to get laughs. Heuermann has it down - the guy appears totally ordinary and pleasant. That's how these kinda people fly under the radar for years. If you answered a questionairre after watching this inverview and was asked which one of these guys was weirder it would be the interviewer. 😃😄

Thanks for posting. In this interview Rex seems reasonably normal. Don't think you'd guess he's a multiple murderer. He's a little strange looking. His facial skin is weirdly unwrinkled, almost like he's had some skin tightening. And his facial organs--eyes, nose, mouth--are unusually set close together in the center of his face, framed by fat around them. But none of that is crimes. The thing where he says he'd be a hammer is a little incoherent as in the rest of the interview he seems to have talked about being cooperative, whereas being "a hammer" suggests something more oppositional.

Hear Rex breathing loudly the whole time. Maybe thats why the guy laughed so much, to cover that up. Or he could just be a complete weirdo. I'm an architect in NYC. I do what Rex did too. It's incredibly stressful and mundane and annoying and no one appreciates, understands or cares about it. But, it is important to know what he knows. Although, I know people in the industry who've interacted with him, and he made lots of mistakes. He is overinflating his knowledge and importance. After 40 years of this, and with his socially awkward personality and temper, it's easy to see that it drove him to depravity, frustration, and violence.

@deeantler1350 Жыл бұрын
It's interesting. So much is made of the 'social mask' of serial killers, but this interview is no different from an interview with anybody who is highly skilled and enthusiastic about their work. After getting a glimpse of Heuermann's own house and his family life, it's likely his professional life was totally normal. This part of him isn't an act. The deviations probably enter into the picture when he returns to the realms of domestic life and interpersonal intimacy. In that sense, he seems closer to the more prevalent psychology of a high-functioning professional who is a raging alcoholic, or domestic abuser, or otherwise dysfunctional outside of their work identity. Unlike the vast majority of those types, Heuermann's dysfunctions were totally off-the-scale of antisocial behavior.
@trisb4751 Жыл бұрын
Maybe. I think he felt 100% control over his work and domain, he was clearly able and comfortable in dominating his field of work with his knowledge of building code, owned his business and I think ran it how he saw fit. I doubt he had that level of control at home while his wife and kids occupied the house. Also, if you read what others have reportedly said about him, he was fairly repulsive and dysfunctional (hiring girls at his work and making them research strip clubs, crowding out other peoples' personal space), like he got off on dominating and controlling other people.
@nettwench Жыл бұрын
Yeah, he's much less socially awkward than I expected. But the hammer part, he's arrogant and creepy when you know what he did.

It's not exactly a lisp, but he has a very characteristic way to pronounce s-sounds. This would be something the families he phoned might have picked up on and remembered. Apart from that, a very ordinary interview with someone talking about his job. And in contrast to interviews with obvious narcissists like Trump you don't really see typical narcissist behaviors by him during the interview. He isn't bragging about himself or something. He even talks in the "generic we" about the work of his firm. That doesn't mean that he isn't a narcissist - it just means that he might be more capable to hide his personality disorders.

Watching Grizzly True Crime I got the impression that the french guy tried to make the whole interview less akward, but turns out he's just annoying. Huermann seems a boring bureaucrat, not great at PR, but it's hard to tell he's a pasychopath. He does not let go the handshake, though, probabily he needs to dominate who's around him. The 10:02 bit, is quite scary, with indsight.

Let’s make some corrections here: the guy who interviewed RH is a boot licker - hanging onto every word coming out of RH mouth. He LOVED the interview. He’s now saying it was his worst interview because the guy turns out to be a serial killer. Secondly, having an ego and being narcissistic does not make you a serial killer - you need these traits to succeed in any industry. Interview any successful person, and they will have an ego - does that mean they are a serial killer? There are parts of the RH that raise a red flag… Other than the hammer part. He is clearly alluding to something else at that point. Other than that, nobody would have guessed he was bad guy. They talk in length about his ego and narcissism- it is irrelevant. He did these awful things because he’s an evil guy. He’s a bad person. Not because he has an ego.
@4vR3n3 ай бұрын
What a profound analysis you have there. He did bad things because he is a bad man. Do you have more? narcissistic traits are common in psychopath, and psychopath tend to be over represented in the higher end of the social spectrum, unfortunetly for your analysis.
@Enoughalready202372 ай бұрын
Please explain what a ‘boot licker’ is. Typically when I see ‘boot licker’ it’s associated with people who kiss LE a$ $. Maybe, just maybe, the interviewer was LE and was trying to extract information without being interrogated? Of COURSE being narcissistic and having an ego doesn’t make people serial killers. Narcissists can kill people in other ways. I’ve personally felt driven to a slow death by a narcissist. He’s evil? Usually evil is a religious term, not an objective term. Tell us more how you feel about that.
@angelinaleonardo4796Ай бұрын
i also liked the interviewer and interview. Your right the ego etc does not make a serial killer. Its the temptation sin and evil that invades our minds left unchecked takes root in our hearts and soul. Its when that line is crossed evil becomes demonic. Our fight is not against flesh and blood. Demons exist there real. And they can do horrific things to humans they have no empathy no soul. We are not at the top of the food chain.
@angelinaleonardo4796Ай бұрын
I cannot imagine what these women went thru. But Im sure it must have been horrific. My deepest condolences to the familes. I cannot imagine your pain and suffering. Nobody should have to go thru this pain. Nobody deserves to die like this. But I also want to say I hope you can forgive rex because he also is a victim. By giving your pain and suffering to Jesus you no longer have to carry that weight around. Its not your burden to carry. Many people many families have been destroyed. But rex is not the culprit here. Its temptation sin and evil that enters our thoughts left unchecked enters the heart and soul of a human. Our fight is not against flesh and blood. We are all prone to this evil. We are all victims . All of us

Smiling and laughing without a reason is basic submission behavior among primates. As much as we'd like to believe otherwise, we are just naked apes, as Desmond Morris wrote. The obnoxious constant laughter by the interviewer just shows that he's the beta male in this interaction and he's really frightened by the bigger, menacing alpha male. Even though the interaction is cordial, underneath the thin veneer provided by culture we are still animals, and our senses detect potential threats to our life. I think this is what's going on here. The interviewer has subconsciously detected that this guy in front of him is really dangerous. He doesn't know it consciously, but his senses are feeling the danger and triggering the submissive laughter. Interestingly, when the interviewer takes the selfie at the end, he says "Can you smile?" and Rex refuses to smile; the dominant male does not need to smile to a lesser male.

Every thing about Rex is Trump. Mannerisms, arrogance, how he has connections, he’s smarter than everyone, how he knows better than everyone. IMO, this interviewer is a government investigator and this investigator has so many gotcha moments. He’s also talking about how to educate the city to get around codes for disabled people.
