There are a few fundamental questions am seeking answers: 1) Would the total number of books sold and profit thereof be able to support five families and the authors living in USA. If the books were not balanced who was the paymaster? One of them went to Thailand on holiday. Did he go on holiday on his own? Is it possible he was in Thailand trying to bring some books into China? These 5 did not disappeare at the same time. What was the Li Bo thinking when he went to the empty bookstore everyday? The family members of these guys were not worried when their only bread winner disappeared one by one, specially the one disappeared in Thailand. Why the families did not call the police? There are other explanations presented in the show. I am not disputing them. I am just raising more questions. Why we assumed the books were gospel before we analyse their impact? If we give derugatory names to a teacher or to fabricate unwholesome stories to insult the teacher it will not be acceptable. Likewise if we were to spin racist jokes on American president it is not acceptable. If we dislike a person as president we should at least show respect to the office. Not doing so would undermind the authority of the office ultimately the administration. What does this guy eat? Did he secured a payment to give a preess conference? Le Bo was the manager of the shop. He knew the business. Why China send this guy to HK to “discover” clients list? The number of several thousands of readers was quoted. If it is true, these guys must be eating paper. Why books? If you want to smuggle information try USB, cell phone or mini CD. The book format is to target not very educated people who regard prints must be true.
I would like to attack the South China Sea issue from an angle few would have made. I had partially touched on this previously. I am going a bit deeper here. There is one sea way going through it. The narrowest part is 1.5 nautical miles wide. If a commercial freighter were to drop a few mines here what would happen. Any one with imagination can see that. Iran had done just that before. What religion do they have in these countries? They are poor and can be destablised cheaply. There was beheading in southern part of Thailand. Some islands in south Phillippines are not controlled by the government. Bangladesh has a lot of religious extreamists. Look at what happen to Libya. Fire from Iraq and Syria is spearding over there, In South China Sea the scene is set. It is a question when it will be Somalia 2. Your Big Brother US will save you only in Hollywood. Look at Middle East, North Africa, Horn of Africa. US has two Fleets in the area. They could not stop tiny boats with a few people attacking freighters. They have to call in other countries to help including China. Where are the 6th Fleet. Are they the Peter Pan's lost boys? Every day they go hunting for Indians but never find one. Talking about that reminds me about Vietnam. General Motor, General Electric, General Dynamic, General Westmoreland, General etc. etc. could not handle Vietnam. Can they handle terrorism in South China Sea? May be they can but they have different agenda. If South China Sea turned out to be Somalia 2 who would most affected in trade. Not USA for sure but they were the one who made the most noise about 60%. They feed and others follow. This is fearmonger. Besides threat of terrorism there is another equally significant vulnerability exposed by the tragic incident of MH370. Despite it is a significant trade route there was no appropriate life and navigation support in the region. Who is the biggest stakeholder of this trade route - China. When China wanted to do something about it the USA politicize it. When USA talked about freedom of navigation they were talking about elsewhere but the trade route. This is classic propaganda. It means telling half truth. By uttering the two in one breath a lot of commentators went 'cock-up' by it. At this juncture, since MH370 was mentioned, it is necessary to question the followings:1) On the day the plane disappeared how many USA war ships were in the region? What percentage of the 7th Fleet was in the region. We know they have AWACS airborne at all time (remember one of them collided with a Chinese jet some years ago). Even technology at 40 years ago the AWACS could pick up a car travelling very fast on the road. None of those radars and satellites could shed light on the plane's final hours. Based on the misinformation China foolishly covered the sea for no avail. 2) Similarly, how many USA 6th Fleet war ships were on the other side of Malaysia? The whole experience is like watching a Hollywood movie. For 90 minutes all our sense of reality is suspended. It is healthy to exercise our brain. No one is absolutely right including mine. The process is exhilarating.
