I think it should be fine, this is about the same number of party members that Sky SC had. FC has one less, if anything the only outlier is Zero with it being the only game with 4 party members.

It's actually a pretty standard cast in term of number, so far really CS (I and II especially) is the onlly part where this series fall into to "Quantity ove quality" mistake giving you 11 characters right away with some being completly underuse.
