It really stinks that he was forced to retire because his injuries were just too much. Unfortunately, many Rikishi suffer really bad injuries and have to stop. His style of carrying his opponent out of the ring was a sight to behold but it contributed to his retirement.

春日野親方は栃ノ心を見つけた時「琴欧州（現鳴戸親方）を超える逸材だ」と思ったらしい。怪我で幕下まで落ちた時は引退も考えたそうだが、そこから復帰〜大関まで駆け上がった時の彼は本当神がかった強さがあった。

うちの亡くなった祖父母は相撲が大好きだった。場所が始まるといつも15時辺りからテレビで観戦していた事を思い出す。そう言えば、何故そんなに相撲が好きになったのかを聞けていなかった。好きになったきっかけを聞いておくべきだった。もう二度と聞く事ができないので知ることもできずモヤモヤ。後悔。 祖父母が亡くなって5年くらいになるだろうか🤔祖父母が存命中だった頃の力士がまだ現役で活躍していると感慨深くなる。また、祖父母が存命中だった頃の力士がどんどん引退してしまうと寂しい思いにもなる。改めて祖父母が居なくなってしまった事を実感する。栃乃心がバリバリ頑張っている時は、まだ祖父母も元気だったんだよなぁと感じ不思議な感覚になる。そんな栃ノ心も引退か🥲寂しいな。祖父母が見ていた栃乃心の最後の晴れ舞台を祖父母の代わりに見届ける。いや、祖父母も見ている事だろう。栃乃心さんご苦労さまでした。お疲れ様。

Tochinoshin, the beloved Georgian sumo wrestler, is retiring due to the injury he suffered. To symbolize that he is saying to his farewell to his sumo life and with love from his friends, comrades, bosses, families, all gather and participate cutting-his-hair ceremony. Finally at the end his sumo stable master cuts away the remaining hair, thus indicating his sumo life is over. For most or all wrestlers, losing the particular style of hair is very emotional reminding him of the hard training days, joy and pain, and all.
