Fun fact, they interviewed a real hitman once and asked what's the most accurate depiction of a hitman in a movie. He said, Leon in the professional. Movies always show these fancy well dressed hitmen in suits driving exotic supercars. Most of the time it's just a regular guy living alone barely making ends meet.

A lot of the mythology is probably based around The Day of the Jackal, where the sophisticated assassin is paid a huge amount of money because of the high profile of the target and the fact he can never work again. @TheShqipe98 Dude. You should watch the movie again. Leon died because of the raid he did on the chinese gang. There were the drug dealer cops at that time and they also died. That is when the cop gets angry. Because his men died. When Matilda tried to attack him he actually told her he didn't give a shit as he has many enemies. But the hit that Leon did on the chinese and the drug dealing cops made him angry and as someone heard or saw an italian guy he immediately went to Leon's boss. He enters when the boss' daughter has his birthday. They beat him up off screen and he gives out Leon and his adress. Then they start the invasion.

In total despair she rings on the door, the pause, the fear grows. then the door opens and the light shines on her. At that moment Leon saved her in every possible way. The tension and emotion in that one scene was worthy of an oscar. I just wish the film had a different ending, it is so sad they way he had to go after fighting so hard to save her.
@raksh93 жыл бұрын
I sometimes wonder how they could have given this a happier ending. Leon has done a lot of bad things, but his code of 'no women, no children' and almost monastic lifestyle makes him a more likeable character. Most movies like this sacrifice the hero/antihero unless they are the redeemable rogue type. Jason Statham's movies are examples of where the violent protagonist lives. But had Leon lived, what would they have done? Would he take on the role of guardian and father figure? I feel that his naivete about life outside of killing would have made this problematic. But admittedly he would have been a better father than Matilda's. I still wonder.

Out of all the G1 Transformers characters to be on screen wielding a gun, I would have assumed that it would be one of the Deceptions holding Megatron in his gun mode. But perhaps they chose the scene with Snarl because of the audio also playing with it.

Really ? You find this movie heartbreaking ? I thought it ended exactly like it should with Leon sacrificing himself for Matilda and still protecting her by taking out the Gary Oldman corrupt Cop.
@rtgunzboi2 жыл бұрын
It was heartbreaking cause of how her and her little brother were living with such shitty people, then poor lil guy gets killed too, you got to feel for Matilda, shit I cried with her when she was telling leon that her bro was only 4 years old 😢. Such a good movie definitely don't make em like this anymore

The handgun the Professional is carrying is a customized long slide Radom pistol with a compensator . Made in Poland , super accurate and a very reliable 9mm . There are versions which are selective fire / full auto with 25 round magazines , suppressors and shoulder stocks . Have a nice day .

Yep. I find pleasure in going back and watching classics from 80s and 90s.. Mostly, action based movies like this one. The movies coming out today are basically bad copy cats and some are just forced (humor wise, politics, bad cgi, etc).
