It has developer in it because it's just an oxidative dye that is supposed to lift your hair colour little bit. Thats also the reason, why the dye was yellow, it turn in to the right colour when you mix it with the developer. Also, because it's oxidative dye, it can turn over-bleached hair into green or blue-ish colour, because there is no pigment left to lift. I think this is the reason, why the recommended colour to begin with is bright yellow - because it can lift something - BUT it has to be veeeery pale yellow, to lift something, because I think the developer isn't strong enough to lift anything than very pale yellow hair. Also if you know the wellknown wella t(x) toners, these are also just oxidative dyes, but I guess they are made better than this. I would say, that the pigmentation in the dye itself wasn't as strong as it needs to be.

If someone wants gray hair, Pravana is an amazing product. If someone wants silver-white hair, you just have to bleach your hair with a bleach that has been micro-encapsulated and that has blue pigments (it bleaches your hair while taking off the orange and yellow tones and it doesn't damage your hair that much), and then use a very good purple shampoo that will give cool tones to your hair, making it silver-white and it also prevents that the yellow and orange tones appears. I did it myself and now I have silver-white hair with some purple light tones. Obviously, everyone's hair and scalp is different and should be careful with the products and the type of treatments to use. Getting gray and silver hair is somewhat easy if you know what you're doing, but it can be tricky sometimes and the hair maintenance (shampoo, conditioners, etc.), can be kind of expensive and time-consuming. Been there, done that. I've spent like $100-150 in shampoos and conditioners and I spend like an hour, daily, to treat my hair. Beauty costs. 😶

This product is not a regular hair dye. If you read it completely... it said use on a blonde hair to get the silver. Honestly I need to be smart about it. Put more, and for someone with that much hair you needed 2 boxes of that... and 40 min on the first if not 60 then 20 to 30 on the second box. Make sure your scalp and hair can take that heat coz we are all dif. I am a pure kinky hard African girl hair. Coloured my hair blonde with a dif L’Oréal product, then used this one 10 days later... waited an hr and my hair came back white as I wanted. I love it and I d use it again...

I had pretty much the same problem. I tryed the rose blonde color and it turned my hair orange, like the unbleached parts of my hair are orange and the bleached parts were pink for 2 days. now its white, like it was before but I have to deal with orange hair until it goes away/grow up. so I don't recommend it unless you have white-bleached hair...

I tried the colorista paint silver-grey and it was awesome. It turned very dark purple on my head when I was applying it and after rinsing the dye at the beginning it had a strong bluish tint that washed out on the first proper wash leaving pure silver behind. I'm sad they stopped producing it :(

the product itself isn't horrible. it works much better on virgin hair as its a washable dye and shouldn't stick as well to bleached hair etc. plus it's meant to lift a colour this one so if ones fading or have a light pale yellow hair colour.

They don't advertise it or mention anywhere that it is something to use on virgin hair. I doubt L' Oreal being the international corporation that they are would be trying to target only a small minority of people. Because if we're talking about natural platinum hair they should just stick to Denmark and not sell it here.

I tried out the colorista turquoise washout colour. It's supposed to work on dark hair and looked gorgeous deep blue on the box. I just ended up with an ugly green tinge 😂 my hair isn't even that dark and the girl on the box had jet black hair! So glad it washes out!! Absolutely awful product range!!

I don't mean this in a any sort of way but your hair was very patchy. I honestly think if you didn't have the yellow patches it would come out a very light gray like it shows. If I was you I would just go get a wella toner t18 and you can turn it more gray then put the titanium on it. I honestly think it's looks nice where ur hair was white but the areas it wasn't white which there was a lot it's gonna be patchy. So it's not exactly a fair review. Because of that reason because some of it looks great.

i didnt buy this exact product but i bought the wash out color in Burgundy from this line. after 2 washes it started to turn Blue. so the bleached parts of my hair are now blue instead of the intended Burgundy purple i wanted. and it claims it can be used on dark brown hair but thats a lie!

Thank you for your video. I already bought the color because I try to get this kind of grey for 2 years. Luckily I can give it back to the store I bought it because the results and comments to the color are pretty horrible. I should have looked it about before I bought it. I guess I will go on with directions silver and lilac. I even saw that the color turned out green. I had that with Arctic Fox's Sterling. It was like hell to get rid of it. Yes, And i just use Silver shampoo from Schwarzkopf, i found at stores here. I used it like hair dye, put it on my hair for about 1 hour last night, My hair is really silver now, and it's cost 5euro. Im not sure how long it will last, but its worked. :)

Ok..I used L'oreal for years..but for your hair length i think you need more than 1 box.When you put the color you start from the roots.That i do for years because I saw the technique at the salon and I copy it.My hair looks bad when I don't use enough color.When I had my hair long as yours I used 3 boxes of dye.

Yes, this product is horrible. No bleach kit will ever bleach hair evenly simply because hair has different shades and the roots lift much faster than anywhere else. Toner can make a huge difference. This Loreal product is horrible though because it's only a low developer in the kit.

I have a sort of Mohawk kind of cut so the long bits on the top are pretty silver but the shaved bits at the sides I don't bleach but I figured this was silver grey so I didn't mind if the dye got onto the natural greying sides. I put it on and could immediately feel the tingling so I knew that it was starting to bleach my hair. It came out a horrible sort of pinky brown colour and was really gross. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT SILVER GREY HAIR ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE BLEACHED DARK HAIR!!!

If your roots were natural at this time and not dyed blonde/white, then its nothing unusual if they turn orange. Happens to me all the time when I use Koleston 12/96 and the roots havnt been dyed blonde.

washable hair dye doesn't stick very good on non virgin hair too. plus like color mixing for example if your hair is blonde and you dye it blue it will fade into a green because yellow and blue equals green etc and you'd have to tone it with pink/red Yeahh idk what I'm saying lmao

Hi! I love your video :) I used this on very light blonde hair and it turned out horrific! I looked like a witch (not in a positive way) it had a very greenish look to it, it was absolutely horrible! Well actually it wasn't even that bad ;) Especially for the magic she used hahah, I expected to just get it fixed an that it would maybe not really be my thing but just so that I didn't look ridiculous and eventually she made it perfectly me, I just felt (and still feel) like I've finally found out who I am. Whoa I sound so dramatic hahaha but it is true tho 😄

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and you had a lot of great views and maybe you could even possibly take up in a career to test products and make money considering you enjoy putting lots of products in your hair, why not? Right? But you also have to understand that this product says that not all results are the same for everyone due to the fact that everyone's hair types are different. Now I would also like to mention that in fact you stated your hair was overly processed resulting from your repetitive use of bleach! That being said greatly concerns me not only of your obsessive compulsive Behaviors you admit to a degree but that may have impacted your results possibly hindering not only your personal results but I'm hoping not the popularity of any future posts especially for your finger pointing and expectation towards the company and what you expect simply based on your opinion that came from your own personal results obtained from overly prosesced hair! Was you aware of a site created by l'oreal with this particular product that engages with the consumer to help them achieve a successful outcome/ results? They will help you to discover these different uses and techniques that truly make this product one of it's kind and desirable! In fact I'm shocked by your review considering you enjoy changing out your hair as much as you do and maybe you should reconsider and get to know the product better and check it out. Also the directions say you should saturate your hair completely with this product and clearly you did not demonstrate in your video. I know I said this once but I feel that it's important because I truly love this product and the ability it gives the user to experiment with to have fun with and try different colors or shades and all the variances in techniques and colors to help one achieve there particular color. L'Oreal is a awesome company with a huge spectrum of products and those products are developed for am array of different individuals. This is a product that gives you the ability to have fun with it to experiment with and be risky. It allows the consumer to interchange colors creating there own unique shades and it gives the freedom to correct it and redo the color if you don't like it and that's the beauty of it! It washes out after 8 shampoos it's vegan and environmentally friendly and as long as your not allergic to hair dye its virtually safe for anyone to use so saying you expect more from this company and failing to even recognise the products non intrusive elements really disturbs me and makes me think your so used to using hair bleach and dyes you never bothered to fully read this products unique formula of uses and it's cool concept that makes this a very special and desirable product! Did you know this is a semi permenant hair coloring SYSTEM and they all work together without all the dangerous and irreversible effects one would have otherwise? Your using the wrong product to achieve what your looking for anyway? I mean you are and your not but the gray color in this product is made up of color pigments without chemicals that you would normally mix in with to achieve that look. If I were you I would just take a break from it anyways before you kill your scalp! Your beautiful and you should stop trying so hard! Your opinion was hateful to this company thats created a wonderful product whos been delivering top quality beauty products with a commitment and compassion to woman all over this country with a standard and logo "because your worth it"! It was developed to wash out after 8 or so shampoos and wasn't made to be a permenant hair color, it was made with diversity in mind and you expect more from l'oreal? There's not much of a risk using this product because of the ability it gives you to use it over and over again to eventually achieve your desired color and to have fun with! This product has outweighed any of your opinions/views that I heard here today. This product is made without invasive chemicals that deplete and damage and sometimes cause serious health problems and that is why they label these products for consumer awareness. Your hair becomes very porous after using a bleach product and to much will make it so dry you will never achieve the results you want from this product anyway, especially not the way one would achieve by lighting only once Wich is required if your hair is to dark! I am only trying to open up a wider View and respectfully defend a company built on customer satisfaction standards, morals and values with a whole bunch of compassion thrown in and to let others know that this product is a very good product because of its diversity and usefulness that you fail to mention as well. I hope you can overcome the compulsive need of over using the damaging and unhealthy chemicals and additives found in hair lightening products because I feel though later in life you might regret doing so and I wish you the best of health. By the way please don't find my comments/remarks here offensive I just think you need to pay more attention to fine details and think before you speak and hopefully lesson your need to feel you need to constantly bleach your hair! Now I need to go color my hair turquoise and if I don't like it I'll go blue! Who knew! 😁

The review would of been better had your hair been the same color to start originally. Your hair was multi toned to begin with. I would of done your roots also. This product didn't fail you. You failed it by not following instructions.
