It's apparently called a moon pool because on calm nights at sea, the moon would be reflected by the water and give the impression of a calm swimming pool. It's also called a wet porch if it's part of an underwater structure/vehicle whereas moon pool is also for when it's a fixed structure above water that has a hole in the middle to reach the water.

The whole 'what colour does X added role show up as in a tester' depends entirely on how the map maker has coded the tester. Like, did they code it to test for the traitor role, or the traitor faction, ect. It's why on some maps the Jester turns up as a red light, because the tester was checking for the 'innocent role/faction' and putting out a red light if it dosn't find it.
