But these companies want to squeeze out the last drop of blood and sweat from their existing manpower making them workers abnormal hours under the “Garb” of Indias decade. Why don’t they ramp up their manpower and hiring ? India’s decade is a false statement, if it is Indias decade then are the salaries comparable? He’s just a frustrated man who has no life , giving away the condition of his own personal life publicly. I really feel pity for his wife & kids who surely do not get to see much of him. Perhaps, this mindset is so much ingrained in them that they have not only accepted this fact but also embraced it. Does he realise how dull, unhealthy and stressful a society would become if his 'philosophy' is adopted by the wider community. Japan has highest number of suicides in the world and that can be majorly attributed to the long working hours. Unfortunately, in India- people in such power positions can influence society and will cause degradation. To remain competitive, you need quality over quantity. This people in power positions should have a humane approach and should realise that they should talk about what is right for 95% of people and not just the 5% who do not have anything else or do not enjoy anything in their life other than their work. Working for longer hours will only benefit the CEOs and top managements. Employees are not getting any benefits. Why would anyone work for 90 hours only to make his boss richer? Give hourly pay for every employee. Those who wish to work long hours will work. Other will not. Give the employees flexibility and benefits if you expect them to sacrifice their life for you. Working for longer hours will only lead to health issues in younger generation. But make sure you cover them with good medical and insurance benefits for the entire family.
