I can watch Lu lifting all day honestly. His technique, speed, strength and physique are all so impressive.

You should do a compilation of his training footage so people can see some of the hard work involved in being able to do these lifts.

Lu has already peaked human physical capability, almost no gains in 7 years!
@kalashnikovcortez13807 жыл бұрын
at this level, guys take roids to prevent the loss of gain. Or did you really think that at this level guys will just continue to gain for 7 years? It's obvious you have not come anywhere close to understanding human limits
@vincentchao99167 жыл бұрын
If he did take steroids he would continue to gain muscle mass, not like he is is the size of Phil Health who has reached his steroids muscle limit. He would be on more strength enhancers as I doubt he is natural. Never the less humans surprise me from time to time on what can be accomplished natural.
@duncanthaw68587 жыл бұрын
You are presuming that the goal of his taking steroids would be to gain more size. He is restricted by his competition weight class, so this is not the case. So if he is taking something to enhance his ability to gain or maintain muscle, it is probably to improve his composition, if such a thing is even possible at this stage. Hell, Id imagine it could be worth it to try LOSING muscle on some body parts and gaining it elsewhere just to optimise his body for the competition lifts. And seeing as the chinese think of everything even remotely related to weightlifting ten years in advance of everybody else, he s probably already done that.

Danny Longlegs what makes u think that he is not natural ? this is olympic lifting dude. not bodybuilding. weightlifters are unbelievably strong n powerful.. the most powerful humans on earth. n they are tasted every now n then. their training will give u proof how strong they are. they are not bodybuilders. they are real life athletes. if u study the science of olympic weightlifting you will know it by yourself.
@dannylonglegs567 жыл бұрын
What I meant is he has reached peak muscle activation at his body weight hence his competition weights have gone up very little in the past 7 years, all he can do to improve his record is to fluke that few percent margin of error as his technique is also near perfect

I'll never get tired of seeing how easy that 207 kg C & J looked for Lu in the 2016 Chinese Nationals. hopefully he can finally claim that 211kg world record at Rio.

Either his feet looked a little crooked or the judge didn't think he stood up enough (his legs aren't fully extended), can't really tell with camera angle. Don't really see any difference on his 2nd C&J attempt, maybe it was a misjudgment or the judge is just an idiot.

I don't agree with squat jerk as balance can be off just a little and you lose the lift as well as having to squat twice with these enormous weights. His squat cleans being quiet easy if he had split jerked would have succeeded. I'm sure coaches would have agreed but changing a lifter's style would have been difficult.
@MrPieroog908 жыл бұрын
Why is he doing clean&jerk with squat insted of split ? It depends of prefernces ?
@TheHunterJC8808 жыл бұрын
Yes, its an alternative technique called squat jerk. This technique is probably better for him since he is very quad dominant.
@aja231368 жыл бұрын
Yes a squat jerk is much more efficient as you can literally squat under the weight to bring it up rather a split jerk where you need to remain standing however there is little to no room for error and much more difficult to perform mobility wise. All preference but the squat jerk is a newer style that is becoming more popular.

Lyu XiaoJun just make a little bit wrong decision strategy for opening in Clean and Jerk in Asian Games 2014 and World Weightlifting Championship 2015 ,he should open down Clean and Jerk around 190_200 kg in first attempt for a successful lift and guaranteed total before he take a big jump .In this 2 tournament ,He must 3 times replay in a row so his knee must be tiring for squat so many times in just a few minutes break .Maybe in his youth 2009_2013 he make 200kg easy for Opening but 2014 and forward he started age 30+ so will be a harder as he getting old 🙌 .Stamina and Strength must be different than his youth 👍
@MovieManiacTalks7 жыл бұрын
Why does he do a squat jerk instead of a split jerk?
@skrubalicious51676 жыл бұрын
realmattcooke many reasons, to him it allows him to lift the most weight possibly since theoretically the squat jerk allows you to lift more, he may feel more comfortable doing so and because his tecnique for it is really good. People think if he split jerked he would be better but I disagree since the chinese teach their lifters to do both styles and the athlete will simply choose which they like better
