An SPR is fundamentally designed by a dielectric material followed by a metal layer, generally, Gold or Silver. The Boundary Conditions (BCs) and conservation of tangential components (CTC) of the propagation vector play the most important role. This video is dedicated to recapitulating the BCs and CTS as a prerequisite of the intended topic, by demonstrating a dielectric-dielectric interface. However, the change in the permittivity takes place if you replace one of the dielectrics with metal. What can happen if you do that!!
