1 still flying(N140SC). 1 in perfect conditions (N910TE). there are about 21 L-1011 abandoned/stored with all engines (1 in honduras(HR-AVN), greece(N102CK), france(C-FTNA), jordan(disapeared CS-TEB), kenya(TZ-MHI moved recently), saudi arabia(HZ-AHP) 2 in libia(XT-RAD, OD-ZEE), iran(9L-LDC, 9L-LDE) 3 in egypt(HR-AWM, TZ-SGI,TZ-SPA) 6 in United Arab Emirates(TT-DWE, N389LS, N164AT, N194AT, N162AT, N212AR) 2 UNKNOWN (VP-CGF, 3C-MIA or 5X-AAL)

Awesome tour of the L-1011 Tristar. I was fortunate to fly on Eastern, Delta and TWA Tristars. My shortest Tristar flight was on TWA from Freeport, Bahamas to Nassau, Bahamas. On this short flight, the ocean and beach views were amazing. My longest Tristar flight was on Delta from Honolulu to Atlanta. I flew on the Tristar probably 20 times and the flights were all smooth, comfortable and memorable. Hopefully one day Delta will add an L-1011 to their Delta Flight Museum lineup. Thanks for posting this tour. 👍

Wow.Im happy for you.😊😊 And Delta has an L-1011 cockpit in a museum. Delta built that cockpit by itself. So sort of the 251st tristar

Flew from Charlotte, NC to Orlando, Fl to begin my time in the US Navy. It was the hands down quietest aircraft I flew in.

It incredible to think how those engines have developed from what now looks rather small, into the giants of today. The final development of the RB211 was renamed before it entered service to Trent to fall in line with RR naming their engine familes after British rivers. Avon (Comet), Conway (707 VC10) and Spey (Trident, BAC 1-11) being other examples.

Good memories of cleaning the BWIA West Indies back in the day. L-1011 had crazy head room. Especially for the passengers that sat in the middle. Great Video dude.

It's live, but not really operational. Only N140SC is still in operational use. This one is live, but it is permanently parked as an educational airframe, not airworthy.
