Let’s see; Boeing refuses to go with a Lithium Aluminum alloy for the fuselage and decides to use more “proven” traditional alloys for the plane hoping new technology with thinner insulation and newly designed internal reinforcement techniques will do the trick. It then decides to have bigger 787 sized windows and to pressure the 777X at the same altitude and humidity as the 787 while using the same old fuselage alloy technology as the legacy 777. Now it wonders why the fuselage is cracking during tests. You can’t make this up. Cramming an extra seat per row to decrease fuel burn per seat is gimmick. It feels like all these bandaids (like structural reinforcement techniques) are just repeating the same mistakes as the Max program. Boeing is trying to get more out of outdated airframes than they were designed to do and is simply patching problems rather than acknowledging the systemic issues of their process. Some folks never learn.

yup the unexpected cracks found in the engine mounting brackets recently of the certification 777x test planes stopped the certification process imediatly. GE, Boeing, Spirit, NASA and the FAA are figuring out why and what led to these total unexpected stress cracks in those already certified for service parts. Substandard materials/manufacturing, faulty mounting, something total new, all options are examined and the problem understood before certification resumes.

Another Airbus knife job on Boeing, ho hum. When you appoint accountants not Engineers to run a company and there are already inherited culture issues (McDonnell-Douglas acquisition) the company loses its focus. One big mistake was not appointing engineer Alan Mulally as CEO when Phil Condit left. Mulally was so capable he ended up as CEO at Ford Motor Company where he probably saved them from bankruptcy. I think Boeing will sort all this out its not like everything else in the USA is going great either just now.
@keithmclean4283Ай бұрын

@roberthenry9319Ай бұрын
As written, what you are saying in your comment is that America needs to return to being a society of racism, social injustice and unequal opportunity in order to be successful, productive and powerful both now and in the future. Yes, racism, social injustice and unequal opportunity did work well for us from the founding of our country in 1776 to the period up until the end of WW ll. But winning a global war against racism, inequality, racism and injustice (the pillars of both Nazi Germany and Japanese fascism and imperialism) became so important to the functioning of America after WW ll that over a period of about 25 years (1945-1970), it became clear that further tolerance of racism, unequal opportunity and injustice was going to destroy our society and our future. So "woke" (an intolerance of social injustice, racism unequal opportunity) has become a core strength of America, and not, as you say, a "core problem". However, something tells me that you will not understand any of this. Perhaps that is because I smell a MAGA mentality in your comment. The opportunity for you to understand what "woke" is and what it means is available to you. This is still America, so you can choose not to understand and move forward. But that means that you will be left behind the rest of us in your future, @jojje3000.
