That's great Jay. It's about time you get some stuff for your channel free. I'm tired off all the fluff channels getting these things, and a channel like yours with real substance not:)
@BuilderCreator2 жыл бұрын
Well, I have been offered lots of free stuff. Most of it is stuff you do not want to see . . . it's bad enough having to watch KZbin adds. :( by the way thanks for the $.0035 if you sit through the adds. Ha!

The Atoto S8 is a brilliant unit. I replaced a Sony AX5000 with it. Huge improvement. Love your work 👍
@BuilderCreator2 жыл бұрын
Doesn't that S8 take up all the leg room in your MG. Ha! We will give this unit a good testing. The brilliant part is their using an existing Android tablet for the face. A bespoke face would have driven the price of this thing out of site.

Perhaps some swinging cup-holders from the Marine supply store? There is a Bluetooth OBD app installed, just need a Bluetooth OBD sender

Hi, I'm from Britain and love watching the processes you take to do things correctly, I may be late to the game but I don't usually look at the comment section. I just wondered what you thought of the young kids in Thailand that have built a Bugatti veyron in white from scratch and also shells for a la Ferrari and a Pagani, I appreciate they are not safe on the road but for what they started with and the tools and conditions they are working in the talent they have blows my mind and if they can do that with what they have imagine what they could do with some good tools and equipment,just wondered what your opinion is? keep up the outstanding work sir.
@BuilderCreator2 жыл бұрын
I think it is the most fantastic thing in the world that these social media platforms have given these motivated and talented young men a way to make a good living in a country were they would normally only have limited opportunity. Just as you mentioned, I'm amazed at what they can do with such limited resources, as well. It will be interesting to see what they do as they start to buy some good equipment and materials. (like a welding mask. Ha!) Give them a tig welder and an English wheel and in ten years they will be a true manufacturer. Thanks for watching BuilderCreator - the old guy with the tools and resources, who needs to step up his game. Ha!

I was a bit disappointed when you first announced that you would be splitting your time between the Leviathan and the Arete. The Arete is why I subscribed to the channel. But.... I am now getting excited about this project. I am excited for the day we can see it out on the water motoring along!👍
@BuilderCreator2 жыл бұрын
I'm glad your catching the vision. Trying to add more time to the projects rather than split my time so that you can have your cake (Arete) and eat it to (Leviathan).

Looking great do you have single vehicle tests like we do in the UK? Its a nightmare hear you cannot have sharp edges in the cab or possible impact ares outside they have to have certain radios to everything including believe it or not any nuts underneath the car that someone's head may hit when you run them over they sell plastic domed nut covers to put on all the nuts crazy

What's your plan with controls while your on the water? Just wondering if you were going to use the same steering wheel and accelerator pedal for the water drive, or are you going for a more conventional hand throttle? What about the procedure between land and water mode, I mean will it be seamless or will there be a time for extra buoyancy and the outboards to be deployed?
@BuilderCreator2 жыл бұрын
Conventional hand throttle. Slow transition to amphibious mode. It will be a we hull and cool down of drive-train likely needed. Will likely have outriggers to deploy (depending on water conditions/Safety). Still lots to consider and design, as some things may change after I find the true corner weights and such.
@benpease44972 жыл бұрын
With all the cameras on the vehicle, are there any plans to set them up with a way to automatically save recent footage in the event of an accident?
@BuilderCreator2 жыл бұрын
Yep, they have accelerometer crash, video save features, plus exterior hard drive connection for extended storage lengths.

Be mindful of those units. The screens like to delaminate from temperature changes. I'm 4 months into my second one and it's starting to separate already. My car is garage kept.

I'll keep an eye on it . . .perhaps a "one year later" video?

You’ve probably already thought of this but finding a cab over truck and borrowing the controls etc from it would save hassle in repurposing standard controls.

The swc on the atoto are very easy to get going on any steering wheel that offers them. Once you have the correct signal wire connected, the atoto unit swc is programmable/customizable.
