What about the battery connections? Where do you connect the negative and positive of the battery? I saw another vid and it said that we have to connect the negative of the battery to the gnd of the motor driver. Then what if we are using 2 motor drivers and 1 battery?

Yes, you can use 3v motor Do the connections as shown in the video. Instead of 12v, connect 9v battery.
