Imma be honest, I‘ve read it twice...and I don‘t really like it. I would even say it‘s my least favorite type moon VN. It‘s setting is very whack and the story progression is all over the place. It feels more like a slice of life story because it‘s like 70% Daytime everyday life clips and 30% Nighttime actual plot progression. It also gave birth to the Shirou harem king myth in that it‘s basicly a somewhat combination of all 3 routes instead of just following one therefore you have all 3 main girls plus Medusa instead of just one love interest. Of course it has it‘s great parts and the nighttime actual plot is pretty great with Bazett, Angra and Caren... It‘s just that you have to go through so many generic slice of life sections that it‘s(at least FOR ME) very jarring to get through the whole thing

The best thing about servants who have great skills but bad damage is that you can mitigate that with grails and np levels. And that's exactly what I did. Spent my half a year worth of savings to get np5, and next she is going to L120. Needless to say, I am a huge fan.

I threw one multi at her on both my accounts and ended up getting her on one of them. That's good enough for me. I like being able to see interludes and stuff myself. But you're right, this year is just too stacked with must grabs to spend on her.

I remember on release in JP I said that her Np was gonna be so abusable due to her Hit Counts and class, most of my friends told me that being a ruler she's not gonna have a good damage but then we got to see her Passive, Skills and the eventual buffs through Appends, NP buff and the release of Oberon basically making her one of the best omni DPS in the game for CQs and Farming

If you don't have Black Grail, a lower rarity CE that also deals damage at the end of turn is Awakened Will, which actually pairs ok with her NP drain from allies per turn assuming it successfully procs. That would be a 35% NP gain per turn if MLB'd, which could allow you to gain any extra charge you might need to get her up to 50% for the Skadi NP charge.

The craziest part is that even tho summer skadi can have basically 4 support servants (herself + two on-field + plug), but with that NP buff caren outdamages her significantly if you utilize her kit properly (Use black grail or put a random avenger in backlines to activate her passive and don't miss those NP on your supports to feed to your caren).

Unfortunately that still isn't enough for most bond CEs. Yeah it will make SOME worthwhile using, but the issue in general would be far from fixed. There are still plenty bond CEs that don't make any sense on their servant even if you add stats to them (Kama for example)

I've been using her on JP as a all purpose farmer and she's amazing. Hear me out: Caren (maxed charge append/50% CE) + Oberon + skadi/summer skadi + summer camp mystic code 1. Skadi dmg buffs, Oberon's skill 1, Caren's skill 1 + mystic code charge. NP. 2. Carens skill 3 + skadi charge. NP 3. Caren's skill 2, remaing Oberon buffs (debuffs included) + mystic code dmg buff Note: Oberon's skill 1 gives the two supports 20% charge for Caren to take

Edit: After seeing how Caren is in the event. skip her and the story. It's no wonder she was compeletly forgotten until the EN event popped up. Better farmers, more interesting characters.

She is, but you'll either have some issues clearing waves and/or getting enough refund. Castoria is recommended as a third charger because she fixes both those problems.

@@PhoenixBlazer39 So if i'm correct, using Caren with a Black Grail, double Skadi and Castoria (hella expensive lol) T1: Skadi-A All skills, swap for Castoria. Castoria S1-S2, Skadi-B S1, Caren S1. NP T2: Skadi-B S2-3, Caren NP. T3: Caren S2-3, Caren NP. Not sure how well it wil work on certain classes as I only tested on doors but it was consistent.
