NOTE: There are SRs also included on the banners and you're guaranteed to get at least one, but these include general pool servants and the odds of getting a specific one aren't good enough to consider for the most part. That said, the July 2021 banners do have Calamity Jane, Lancer Melt, and Caenis from a relatively small pool of servants. So if you're headhunting any of those three, that's a benefit.

Fun fact about MHX: Because her NP has a *massive* SpecAttack modifier for Saberfaces, she's actually one of the best Morgan killers in the entire game, since Morgan does, in fact, have the Saberface trait

I was torn between Gilgamesh and Castoria banners. I chose the former and ended up with my greatest roll in FGO: two new 4*, Liangyu and Young Shuwen; and two new 5*, Okita and Nero Bride. Nero Bride is special in the sense that i always wanted to roll for her but never could 'cause priorities (AKA meta) always came first.

Great idea. Having an overall Point Value and Expected Risk Percentage gives more grasp how any GSSR banner really is. If anything, I'll add to consider whether you prefer new servant or duplicate is acceptable. Unfortunately, I already had rolled this Anniv GSSR. I chose on the Archuria banner and got Musashi, still a W and she is new. Great Anniversary so far. Next GSSR, I will apply this point system to help me. Thanks for sharing.

Similar "rags to riches" vibe for me and my 2 months playing so far. Went into the banner looking for NP2 Melsune but got Senji Muramasa. Same beginning despondency but then I looked at my roster and realized I just got my first beefy invuln piercing servant. Just hit Olympus (blind) so I'm glad he's an option in this insano place.

Fun fact: when her np upgrade comes, she'll be the 2nd hardest neutral-damage hitting quick looper in the game (1st is sen no rikyu due to being berserker, but their numbers are pretty close) and top 1 consistent looper if you use double scadi+oberon (one of a few quick loopers who can use black grail for farming even on 2/2/x nodes and sometimes 1/1/x against casters). Can't compare voyager to her, even now she outdamages my np2 voyager while being at np1. Now i regret pulling this shota tbh

Ended up rolling for the Himiko/Gogh/Ibuki/etc. banner. Either I’d get NP2 on a character I already have or NP6 in Meluko’s case or I’d get one of 3 new characters. Ended up with Summer Kiara, which is quite fitting since I rolled on her banner, but didn’t get her. Better late than newer. Would’ve have minded Summer Abby or Douman either. Douman could’ve given Chen Gong a new purpose in life.

Really nice guide! Doing expected value and fail chance together is a really good format. Obviously YMMV based on your haves and wants, but this is great as an in-a-vacuum analysis.

I got double GSSR this time which I'm super stoked about. Got Murasaki (the target) and Reines, on top of Lakshmi Bai and Mysterious Foreigner XX (Summer). Overall a fantastic banner, and the only time I actually got my target.

Went for the Van Gogh banner because I wanted Gogh. Ibuki shows up and thought I was gunna just get a dupe this gssr, so I just decided to skip the rest of the multi and then a foreigner card shows up and its Gogh! I was soo happy! Would have been hell for me if I got Abby since she was my last wanted servant.

@@user-ti2bc4oi6q I like to pair her up with Douman he can buff her up and makes sure she does alot of dmg. If it's for CQs I usually take Castoria and Merlin along to make sure she gets all the support needed to do dmg and survive. Have fun with her!

Kinda wish this video was out a week ago. I pretty much follow your advice on which banners to roll for when it comes to account building, especially when it comes to GSSR banners that are least likely to screw me over.

Worth mentioning regarding Dantes and a few other quick loopers is that thanks to the game having TWO separate skadis that can do effectively the same thing, as well as triple support meaning theres a lot of support Skadis up again (even if they require scrolling to get to, bleh), with a few caveats (3/3/x node, situationally can afford a 2 enemy wave) he can loop with a no-charge CE via the triple skadi system (double ruler + caster). It's expensive as shit to run (2 limited ssr, 3 if the dps is also one; potentially levelled charge appends for the looper AND sometimes the skadis themselves, like with Caren) but hey, it like... works now, so thats cool i guess? idk kinda coping but still, the damage output of that setup is pretty impressive - especially if the no-charge CE is Black Grail. and P.S. - regarding morgan, she actually loses in direct damage to summer BB at equal np levels if the target isnt a KotR or a Fae, because in current JP s.BB has an NP interlude as well three separate damage buff sources (that she can double dip on in 2-charger setup with Atlas) vs Morgan's unbuffed NP and only charisma to her name. Small tidbit, but worth mentioning imo.

Murasaki is one of my absolute favorite waifus and I have her Summer alt at NP2. Though I would have been happy with Kama, Arjuna, or Reines, I'm glad the game understood who I REALLY wanted. ^_^

Went for the Mel banner with NP5 Mel (lucked into NP4 with free quartz), NP5 Ibuki (bought a pack with a gift card and got 3 levels from it), and NP1 Gogh as the jackpots. NP1 Douman, NP3 Abby, and NP3 Kiara would have also been fine (wasn't super interested in the rest, though they would have at least been new). Wound up getting Mel and Gogh (who I plan on taking to 120 and 100 respectively). Not my first double jackpot, but hitting NP5 on my favorite Servant in the game felt absolutely amazing (and Gogh has been one of my favorite Servants to use as well).

It was a solid GSSR. Though honestly the highlight for me was getting a first copy of Barghest. NP2 Himiko is ok I suppose. It was worth taking my chance at getting some of the characters I didn't have. Plus with how my luck has been on regular banners I can live with decent GSSR luck.

You know you've spent a lot on this game when GSSR decision is actually really difficult. For most ppl it's probably a no brainer to attempt the banners with Reines or Castoria (which are not only top tier supports, the alternatives so happen to be incredibly good). Me who has multiple NP5s across multiple years (one of which is in fact NP5 Reines), that decision doesn't come quite so easily. Can't be mad getting my 3rd copy of Miss Crane who I'd say is unironically quite useful if you're trying to turn an NP5 Shuten Douji into a passable farmer.

I come to you all with a tale. I made my first NA fgo account over 5 years ago. Long story short, I deleted the game without making a bind code and regretted it a few months later when I wanted to get back into the game. I was unsuccessful with customer support so I decided to make a JP account and start over. I was very lucky with my JP account and I still play it to this day. Going back to Two weeks ago, I decided to make a new na account for fun since melusine was on rate up and 6th anni/koyanskya were around the corner. I was able to get melusine in 2 account rerolls and when koyanskya came out, I was able to get with a good chunk of the beginner quartz they give out. For GSSR I really love ranking banners similar two you but instead of focusing on sheer value to an account I'm more partial to assigning banners from -3 to +3 on how I personally want a character Compared with also finding the odds rolling a -# +# or 0 Amd while GSSRs are always an account boost they always feel like blind shots in the dark :/

I don't think Cleo having NP gain boosts is as bad or random as it seems. Her NP gain stat and quick cards are already fairly good, and that buff just makes her NP gain on arts and quick cards even stronger, and since she can also pump out stars, with a crit her NP gain is absolutely astronomical, easily getting a full 100% charge with just one Q and A card, no extra card needed. Honestly, I think her second skill's direct 10% per turn barely even matters given the insane amount of NP gauge she gets from quick crits. Which doesn't exactly change the other thing you mentioned, shit damage. Cleo's a "brawler" assassin, a bit like First Hassan, but more focused on clearing messy multi-wave fights rather than bosses. She's still not "great" all things considered since the top meta picks are units with direct self-charge or Castoria/Skadi/Vitch compatability, and clearly designed around "Year 1" combat concepts, but I've gotten a fair amount of value out of her in events where drop CEs don't usually give starting charge. Slap her in a team with two other assassins against a node of riders, and she'll be spamming her NP left and right with the amount she gets from quick crits. I wouldn't roll for her, but if you somehow end up with her, she easily becomes the generic "messy brawl assassin" due to her star gen, NP spam, and durability.
