Don’t worry I work at Dairy Queen too and it’s exactly the same. Always getting on your ass for stuff you’ve already done or stuff that doesn’t need anything to do. Here's a tip for people new to working jobs: When you get a first job just pick up a rag or mop and pretend you're doing something if there's nobody around. It makes you look busy so nobody bothers you. Alternatively, actually clean stuff. Even if you cleaned a table 5 times, just wipe it again. Or restock something. Just look busy, especially early on.

It’s my first job at wendy’s right now. I work front counter one of the two positions I know how to do. When there is no customers all I can really do is wipe down tables, restock, clean trays, and wash dishes. I was rotating doing all those things while there was no customers. I get to work at 3 and about 4 employees walk in the store and my manager says I can go home 5 hours early… because they are over staffed but I got to work before those other 4 employees so It would make sense for me to stay and them to not even come in. And he says I was “standing around, not doing anything.” but I’ve only been trained to do one position and there’s only so many tables I can wipe down while there isn’t any customers. Like am I the fucking problem.

Brooo, I've been fired at my first too! Except for me, I somehow managed to last almost 2 years at mine(it was a resturant) and I moved up from the shittiest prep position, to one of the servers. My ass got fired because they wanted me to stay and prep additional product that management didn't allocate for that day(and I only had an hour in between shifts, and was constantly booked with doubles) and essentially I would've been there all day without a break(which unfortunately was a common theme with the servers I worked with) mouthed off to "Becca" and she terminated my ass" handed in my gaucho suit and knife an never looked back. Every time I watch this including your Walmart episodes, I always b rolling on my ASS. Thanks for the endless relatable laughs yo! (Edit: for a time scope for reference, I was in that shit from 6am till 11pm. I'm a roofer now getting better hours AND pay than that)

Fast food seems like torture, but when I was younger I worked at a sit-down place, pay was bad but tips were really good and I got plenty of girls. If there's any kids here looking for a first job definitely try to work at one of those places as a server before you sell your soul to McDonalds. Requires more work but the rewards were worth it.
