I remember playing this game for the first time a couple years ago. Then I saw maps like this and was absolutely floored like "how is this even possible, how do they know where to go, that's godlike." and after knowing how tracks like these are made, it makes total sense. I love it and it's still impressive to see them made so well like this.

well, the nice thing to do is then to have stuff parametrized according the game version, so when one needs to play certain track, it will say "This track needs version X.Y.Z", and you may opt to load physics, and related stuff, for that track play. It is simply backwards compatibility. But the game would need to be refactored a bit to provide that functionality.

@Daylen1512 жыл бұрын
so uuuh... elden ring came out in '96 right? oh and that stupid easy mario game was like this years best seller no? dude it's totally objective and based on what games you play but even when sticking to the same game series we often see a greater challenge in newer games. the original doom games are a cakewalk compared to eternal and 2016. mario 64 is a joke compared to odyssey. with new games come new and more mechanics and features so yea the games get more diverse and most likely also harder. it's true that games try to make everyone feel like a winner of course. but that has been the case since single player games exist. not like you want to play a game that makes you feel like a loser. and in case of multiplayer yea in co-op the same applies and always has. wouldn't make sense any other way tbf that would just be stupid.
