Initially, for L4D1, Valve thought about making stuff like this, but argued that it was too much work and left it. This was not before they managed to produce one such clip for No Mercy. Which is why the trailer for L4D1 was also an intro for No Mercy.

I hope you do a series of little banter bits between the survivors. Just little skits of them taking breaks in the safe rooms or passing through different areas. Don’t even need any zombies, really. Maybe a couple in the more active zones like the tour bus scene in The Passing having a couple wandering around, but just them hitting the jukebox and then waking outside and seeing the bus drive by would be cool.
