C Frmer, brother you are my go-to mechanic. I have learned a lot from you. I appreciate your servant heart! I love watching your videos, especially when you have something to work on. I am a little envious, I sit behind a desk all day, and only on weekends do I get to play with my 2017 Duramax and tractor. Thank you for this video and I will continue to be one of your biggest fans.

I love your videos, I think you are providing a great deal of knowledge to a lot of people that normally would not be able or "think" they could tackle these repairs.

Thank you again for your videos. I have a 2018 GMC L5P with 60K miles. I ordered my pigtail for the glovebox today. Thanks to your videos on how to replace the pigtail I feel confident when I have that error code I can do the job and get back on the road. Thanks again.

Thank you! You saved me easy $1500, probably $2000. They wanted to replace injector 5 and I knew it wasn’t the injector. Found your vid and it literally took me 45 mins, I’m a Marine mechanic. That connection/pigtail is $220 from a GM dealer in Canada. 🙄. Thanks again 👍

What caught my eye was a injector timing code from the mechanic. Can’t find the reference (thinking it was p03000) but that got my wheels turning that it wasn’t the injector.

Top-notch info sir. I just posed the question on your recent video of doing the #6 plug, I wonder if preemptively putting dielectric grease in all the plugs when they are fairly new would help then to last longer.

Right across the street from your favorite fueling station west of joplin..diesel is $3.69...all the fuel in that area is good,I know this. I work at the refinery where all the stations in that area buy fuel from. It is 5% or a touch below,and when testing it the other day the pour point was 0° F
@chrisscofield494424 күн бұрын
Do you put Dielectric grease in the connection for the pigtail prior to plugging in.?

My truck started throwing the P0205 code and I’m fairly certain it’s the injector connector. I’m going to buy the part before I take it apart. They are showing a 2 and 4 terminal connector. It’s a 2 terminal correct? Thank you for your videos. I was worried it was going to be hard to replace but I think it doable.

How are you liking being back to transporting? Did. It for Horizon in 18 and 19 and loved it but didn't love Horizon. Miss it but I'll turn 72 next week and most companies or maybe the insurance cut you off at 73.

My #1 pigtail is bad. How hard is that to change myself? Already replaced all the ones on the drivers side and misfire started again yesterday. Local mechanic won’t touch a Duramax he says.

#1 & #3 are the worst to get at. The egr pipe needs to come off to be able to get the cover off so you can get to the #1 & #3 injector. I have a video where i replaced the #3 injector and the steps would be the same. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYPUeHRpob16r6ssi=plALcdaMuQWAPxBR

Thank you so much! The pigtails were delivered today. I had three but put them all on the other side a few weeks back. Went ahead and ordered two so I can replace 1&3 at the same time.

Seems like a bad design worthy of a recall. They recall all kinds of crazy stuff, but not practical fixes.

"Shame on GM" is a fair statement for this continued issue of an undersized connector. To put things in perspective consider a Ford Powerstroke 6.7 Diesel that has and continues to use a Bosch CP4(.2) High Pressure Fuel Pump. This pump is known to fail due to poor design yet Ford has used it since 2011 to current. When (not if) it fails it will spread tiny pieces of itself throughout the entire fuel system costing as much as $15,000 to fix. Apparently all Ford Motor Company cares about is the warranty period, not the customer. I am a retired mechanic and GM L5P Duramax is my choice for my hard earned money. Check out this link to fully understand the design flaw of the CP4. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIGpgZloetWroac
