The place where this battle was fought in Mahoba is now a big pond. But Sir here almost all people claim that Prithviraj chauhan was defeated by Alha Udal

Mahipal ji, each dynasty or empire centered in Delhi built their own capital city in Delhi. You should also mention their power center in modern-day Delhi for better appreciation of the vast expanse of Delhi's heritage. In chronological order: * The Tomara and Chauhan Rajput Dynasties had their capital as Lal Kot or Rai Pithora in Mehrauli in modern-day South Delhi. * The Mamluk Capital was Mehrauli in modern-day South Delhi, which is home to the famous Qutub Minar. Modern-day Mehrauli was the capital of Prithviraj Chauhan and so the Mamluks destroyed the existing capital and rebuilt their capital in the same location. * The Khilji Capital was Siri (or Siri Fort) in modern-day South Delhi. The famous lake in Hauz Khas nearby was dug up by Khiljis to supply water to their capital Siri. * The Tughlaqs had three different capital cities: ** Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq had his capital in Tughlaqabad, a big fort in modern-day South-East Delhi. ** Muhammad bin-Tughlaq had his capital in Jahaanpanah-Adilabad, a massive fort running for some 10kms and connecting the older capitals of Mehrauli and Siri in modern-day South Delhi. ** Firozshah Tughlaq had his capital in Firozabad or Firoz Shah Kotla (where the cricket stadium is also located) in modern-day Center-East Delhi. * The Lodhis had shifted their capital to Agra to evade foreign attacks on Delhi. * The Sur Dynasty under Hemchandra Vikramaditya had its capital in Shergarh, which was later renamed as Deenpanah by the Mughal emperor Humayun, and is today famous as Purana Qila (Old Fort) in modern-day Center-East Delhi. The famous Humayun's Tomb is located nearby. * Then Akbar and Jahangir had shifted their capitals to Agra and Lahore, before Shahjahan brought the Mughal Capital back to Delhi. * The Mughal Capital all the way till 1858 was Shahjahanabad, which is today famously called Puraani Dilli (Old Delhi) and houses the famous Red Fort and Jama Masjid, in modern-day Center-East Delhi. * The British Capital was New Delhi, which is located in modern-day Central Delhi and which continues to serve as India's capital till date.

Sir, I am from Mahoba (Bundelkhand) and i would like to add some points for curiosity, The battle of Mahoba is still regarded as one of the greatest battle fought by Bundelas, "Parmal Raso" wrote by Jagnik is still sung in the cold Moony nights after a Warm day in Bundelkhand's some Remote village. Bundelas Take pride on it and Valour starts flowing in our Veins just by names of Alha and Udal that's why Mahoba or sometimes BUNDELKHAND is called as VEERBHUMI. Even though we lost this war to Chahmans but we got an identity and culture to follow because of Chandels. And we were weakened by this battle too and we lost to Slave sultans of Delhi just because of this war. We might be backward (water issue, unemployment, illiteracy, neglection by UP and MP government) but we are always will be Bundelas and Battle of Mahoba gave us the spirit and power to keep up our identity between the UP and MP and it does remind that we are not in Up but Veerbhumi and Alha is the emblem of that, i would like to see BUNDELKHAND as a state however I understand challenges and complications, If possible please make separate video on Bundelkhand.
