Was für ein unglaublich schönes und realistisches Flugzeug. Und das Motorengeräusch ist wirklich schön. Der OS 320 FF wird im Modellbau nicht viel verwendet, weil er so teuer ist. Schade, denn diese Maschine ist so speziell, wie das Video zeigt. Der Pilot versteht die Kunst, ein Modell zu fliegen, das ist klar.

Vielen Dank und geb ich Dir recht, der Motor hatte schon immer seinen Preis und ist sehr selten wo zu sehen. Denke die meisten liegen noch in der Schachtel rum. Aber wir hätten was in Peto, 2 dieser Motoren in einer Cessna 310, hoffen alle es kommt dieses Jahr noch zum Erstflug vom Kollegen mit einem schönen Video ;-)

Nice combo, i am looking for a warbird myself for my os 320 Pegasus. I was Thinking about the LA-7 and googled the combo and found your KZbin clip.. NICE! I am wondering about the throttle (power Available). According the sound it looks like your using full power most of the time. Is that just because it is fun or do you need full power with it ?? And how about the cooling in the round cowling, any hot running cylinders?? And the esm plane itself, happy with it or any thing I should pay attention too?? Thanks mate!!

Hello and thanks ! You can also fly with half-gas, this was the first flight ;-) Cooling is not a problem. You have to direct the air around the cylinders, inlet to exhaust 1:2. ESM construction kits are OK, you have to work a "little" bit ;-)

Install the 4 cylinder boxer in a P51? What is that supposed to look like, it never fits under the hood 😵‍💫🤷🏻‍♂️ You need the Armin de Vries VT-85 inline engine 😉👍

Hello, may I ask if the FF-320 in this video has been modified or if it is as it came from the factory? I ask because, out of curiosity, I input the propeller type and RPM in a spreadsheet (www.fmfk.dk/Prop-power-calculator.xls) and the calculated power seems even higher than the advertised 4.1hp for this engine. Andrea Zambon Hi, this is an original, not modified, OS-engine. The engine has probably already get 30-40Liter Sprit, is well broken in. The rpm is measured on the ground, in the air, he have 400-700U / min. even more ... Such programs usually never agree. If I take another propeller of the same size, it may be that the motor 400U / min. less power ...

MSGStiftland Thank you very much for your response. Yes, I know that these calculators are often not accurate. I just used to get an idea of what the engine horsepower could be.The one I linked takes into account the brand and number of blades of the propeller, so it should account for "lighter" and "heavier" propellers, at least in theory.I'm interested because I have a FR5-300 radial that I'll start building a P-47 for in a few weeks, but mine only manages 6300 rpm with a Menz S 20x10. My engine has only had less than 5 liters through it, so it may still improve, and the Menz S propellers have very large blades. Still I was surprised that the FF-320 could manage 6600 rpm with a 21x11 3 blade.

Andrea Zambon Hello, a Menz propeller is the wrong propeller for this engine. A "Grauper G-Sonic" would be better ... or even a "Engel SuperSilence" or "Mejzlik". 5 liters are too little, the engine needs at least 20-25Liter (in flight!). Which fuel mix you use ?! --% Nitro, --% oil?! Have you ever checked the valves?!

MSGStiftland Hi, I'll try different propellers for sure when the airplane is ready to fly. I'm using the Menz S for now as that's what the local hobby shop has available. I did check the valves and set them according to the specifications (0.04 to 0.10mm) with the engine cold. I use homebrew fuel with 10% nitro and 18% oil (15% Motul micro synthetic oil and 3% castor oil). I suppose it's just a matter of running the engine more until it is properly broken in.

exactly, why not. The engine is very rare and has a great sound. But now is a FG60-R3 in the LA7 ;-)
