Why does the OS FF-320 need a pump and the OS FT-300 does not?

The 4 cylinders have smaller cylinder head they the FT-300 so they struggle to pump in the diaphragm in the carb

Power output is what? 3-4 hp? My guess.

Can you please tell me what are those 4 pipes coming from a unique box, and going each to one of the motor heads ? They are not fuel conductors, as the whole motor has two carburattors as we can see, neither they are for exhaust gases ... are they pneumatic control of inlet fresh gas, or perhaps they are for sparks ? Thank you very much in advance ...

The engine have a single carb that operate the 4 cylinders and those pipes are the 4 exhausts

22x12 Menz prop is to big for this engine!
