Maaan, I cried at the end of this movie. I thought it was sad how Rosie cheated on Ritchie with Bob. But in the end, Ritchie got his Donna.

La Bamba in my opinion is one of the most important bio flicks of all time. The lost of Ritchie Valens hit the Mexican American very hard and is still felt to this day. Ritchie was supposed to be the first mainstream Mexican American music star. He was gonna represent a community that was mostly ignored and didn't have a loud voice. When he died the Mexican American dream died. This film showed the world who Ritchie valens was and what he was supposed to be.

You should watch Selena I think when she died that really hit hard with the Mexican American community. No disrespect to Ritchie but he didn’t sing any Spanish music it was English music which targeted more of the white america. Selena on other hand rose to fame singing Spanish music even when she didn’t know the language. Her audience was a mix of both worlds the Spanish community and the Mexican American community. To this day she’s held as a very important figure because she gave us hope that we can reach heights that have never been achieved in our community.

@@Don_Julio805 I've seen selena. Yes selena death was hard but Ritchie success would of been more important because he was around during the time of segregation. Most of the music stars were either white or black. Can you imagine a brown Mexican American reaching mainstream fame in the 50s. Yes he was an English speaking artist and that's why he was so special. He represented the young generations of Mexican Americans that spoke English and listened to English music. He would have made it easier for selena and other future Mexican American artist. Yes selena did give us hope but Ritchie was the first to give us hope about 35yrs before selena.

@@Don_Julio805Ritchie most successful song is La Bamba it was in Spanish so he did sing Spanish opposite to your writing “ he didn’t sing any Spanish songs “ he was living in USA 🇺🇸 so he should sing In English as well for the white Americans and so in Spanish for the Mexican , as a Brazilian living in Australia since 1999 I do not hang with Brazilians neither I go to Brazilian communities here and I believe that if someone is so much in love with they own cultural identity language and country they are welcome to go back and live there , it’s totally ok to be proud from where you are from to an extent but since you move to another country you’re responsible to integrate to the new culture and give back as much as you take both ways representing who you are and where you come from and also taking it in from where you are at now , and I must also say that Mexicans are one of the finest craftsman’s and artist and Mexicanos have an amazing very Rich culture but as Mexican / American it should be met both ways and not only forming a little Mexico 🇲🇽 or Brazil inside another country but also mesh it up together giving and taking from both countries so it doesn’t create immigrants that doesn’t even speak English or understands and are part of they new country communities.

Good review, I enjoyed the dedication and compassion going into this video. As for suggestions "Legend of the fall" is a good movie, that deals with the struggles of three brothers. Their ups and downs, very powerful and moving movie.

Great review guys👍🏽I’ve been waiting for this one. Keep up the good work. Hell or High Water would be another great movie to review. It’s also a story surrounding two brothers. 25th Hour is another good one. I look forward to your unique analysis of more great movies.

I think the kid in his dream was his best friend who died when two planes collided above the playground, and the wreckage fell on him. This is why he never wanted to fly.

I always said it was about bob not Richie

I’ve watched La Bamba in the 80’s when it first came out I was about 11-12 years of age and I was mesmerised by Bob’s character as much as I was amazed by ‘Crater’s face “ character in “Grease “ I also thought “ Beef” was pretty cool in Back to the future he had a cool black with red interior convertible Mercury, and so did Crater’s face also had a cool black with flames 🔥 studbaker and leather with studs clothes and Harley-Davidson boots to me the bad boys always had more colours and spice than the actual main characters, the bad guys always stole the show in a lot movies and in La Bamba definitely Bob is the most colourful character he had the cool chopper the cool Rock’n’Roll clothes the hair but he had a substance abuse problem but he was indeed a true good hearted and intelligent and creative person he was the main character in the success of Ritchie Valens , Bob is the one that took his family out of the farming to the city he’s the most crucial part of Ritchie success even though Ritchie Valens is one of the most talented musician ever ot was Bob who laid the groundwork for Ritchie to become who he was !

Awesome video, you gotta remember that the reason that God favored able over Cain is because Cain half assed it, I don't see Rich's brother do that, he's just treated like shit from the jump

You overlook simple messages to complicated theories you cant fathom. Cain and Abel was a pretty deep reach. Icarus ???????? If the complicated Theories arent accurate then go back to simple ones. To quote Donnie Brasco "sometimes it(forget about it) just means forget about it. But im often wrong......lol so...........
