A l origine ça devait être un court métrage mais le budjet du film à augmenter par apports a un sujet très important les résistants pendant la secondes guerres mondiales et est devenu la Bataille du rail de René clément est devenu un classique du cinéma français. Une scène culte avant l exécution des cheminots le dernier regard du résistant sur l araignée qui descend du mur cette cette scène ma vraiment marqué.

Je m'associe à votre commentaire, je trouve que cette version de la bataille du rail est un rappel à la réalité des années 40, j'étais adolescent et fils de cheminot....j'ai toujours en mémoire les mots comme sabotage ,couper le courant, sans oublier les descentes des boches( disait -on à cette époque) pour surveiller les cheminots afin que le réseau ferroviaire fonctionne pour leurs besoins.Je suis comme vous j'ai aimé ce film. @@Alonzykoi comme disait un des pilotes Anglais qui a participé à la bataille d Angleterre " quand je vois ce qu est devenu mon pays je me demande si cela a valu le coup de mettre battu et de voir mourrir mes amis pour voir ce qu est devenu mon pays " je pense que les résistants Français auraient la même réaction en voyant l état actuel de la France

Without the sacrifice of the gallant, heroic FFI, the RESISTANCE, stopping the Nazi Panzer division making the journey to Normandy, then D-Day would likely have failed, None of the Allies ever acknowledged this fight, that delayed the bdivision by nearly 4 weeks. At the cost of thousands of brave fighters for freedom. In the same way there has never been recognition of the aerial battles in the Battle of France in 1940. The French fighters shot down just over 200 of the top Nazi aircraft. Would Britain have won the BoB, if those over 200 Nazi planes had taken part in the Battle for Britain?

@MarkInLA Wikipedia has a good technical explanation. In the context of the movie, it indicated the chain of radio signals being sent out, as they were used in high power radio transmitters. The type shown in the movie is quite large, about the size of a football, and when operating, they give out a beautiful, eerie, blueish purple glow. They have a lot of mercury in them, so these days are considered environmentally very dangerous.

La scène du déraillement du train blindé semble bien avoir été réalisée avec un vrai train. A croire qu'ils ont sacrifié un tel train avec des tanks allemands. A moins que les tanks n'aient été faits avec du contre-plaqué ?

It's a film made just after the war with many people thad really were in the resistance groups of the french railways with weapons and rail matériel directly used just months ago during the war.
