I was a Cathari. A few years ago i had a vision/remembrance of running down the hill from the fortress Montsegur into the flames of the bonfires the Catholics had prepared for our deaths. In the flames, I turned around and looked back to the castle. I saw the flames come up around me, and it startled me back into the present. I was a woman then, as I looked down at my dress and shoes as I ran down the hill.

This Hymn does not speak to my mind as I do not understand the words. This Hymn spoke to Soul System deep within. Before innerstanding anything of the Cathars or the words behind this Hymn and thus no conscious awareness of their Spirit- my subconscious was pulled to the surface which was of warmth followed by sudden and extreme sadness and sobbing with deep pain in my Heart. My bloodline ancestors are unknown to me beyond a Time not too distant in the past, however after years of digging through HIS-story with nothing to show- I now Know.

A beautiful song. I enjoyed hearing it sang in Occitane. Many years ago I had done a fair amount of research on the Cathars and remember reading they had significant influence from Zoroastrianism. We did not die willingly, we made our stand, fought this the last member could move. They brutally murdered everyone, I watched unable to move, my family being savaged. Until today, still trying, life after life, to reconcile the trauma of my family watching me fall after making my last stand in my house. I'm the first to remember Easier to accept all deceitfulness of family members. Some deny God, Mother, the existence of what we do not see, feel. They deny because the last stand was in defense of Divinity, her wisdom, they feel betrayed. The sorrow pain shame guilt felt, wanting to save and not being able left traumas being healed live after life. I know this is another life, the path to forgiveness is done through innocence.
