Los hermanos Sanz pertenecen a una saga familiar de #pastores de la #Montaña #Navarra que desde siempre ha practicado la #trashumancia. Siguen la #Cañada #Real de los #Roncaleses, la #vía #pecuaria que une los #pastos de los puertos del #Valle del #Roncal, en el #Pirineo #Navarro, con las #Bardenas #Reales y la comarca #aragonesa de Las #Cinco #Villas. Son pastores reconocidos por mantener un #rebaño de #ovejas de gran pureza, pertenecientes a la raza autóctona #Rasa #Navarra. Auténticos testigos de cómo ha ido evolucionando el #pastoreo #extensivo en los últimos 60 años.

The Sanz brothers belong to a family saga of #shepherds of the Navarra #Mountain, that always been practiced #transhumance. They follow the trail of the #roncalans, the cattle #route linking the #pastures of ports of Roncal #Valley in the #Navarran #Pyrenees, with the Las Bardenas Reales and the Aragon area of Las Cinco Villas.
The #shepherds will have to wait until the snows on the passes of the #Navarran #Pyrenees disappear before returning to the alpine meadows with their flocks. The rigours of winter make #mountain #grazing impossible and village life hard.
In early June, the #shepherds and the #flock of 1,500 #sheep leave the winter quarters, they have 7 days on foot ahead of them. The Sanz brothers are recognized for keeping a flock of #sheeps of great purity, belonging to the #autochthonous #race "rasa navarra". They are authentic witnesses of how it has been evolving the #extensive #livestock #grazing in the last 60 years.

Les frères Sanz sont descendants d’une lignée de #bergers des #montagnes de #Navarre qui depuis des générations réalisent la #transhumance. Ils parcourent la Cañada Real de los Roncaleses, un #chemin #berger qui unit les #pâturages des #ports de la #Vallée du #Roncal, dans les #Pyrennées #Navarres, avec les Bardenas Reales et la communauté de #communes #aragonaise Las Cinco Villas. Ces #bergers sont connus du fait qu’ils maintiennent un #troupeau de #moutons de grande pureté génétique appartenant à la #race #autochtone Rasa Navarra. Ils sont des témoins autenthiques de l’évolution de #l’élevage #extensif dans les 60 dernières années.

Die Gebrüder Sanz, sie markieren ihre Schafe kurz vor Beginn der #Frühlingstranshumanz, zurück in die #Berge. Die Hirten müssen warten bis der Schnee von den Almen der #Pyrenäen #Navarras getaut ist, bevor sie mit ihren Herden zu den #Bergwiesen zurückkehren.
Anfang Juni verlassen die Hirten mit ihren 1.500 Schafen die Winterweiden. Von Tauste aus, liegen 7 Tage Fußmarsch vor ihnen, zwischen den Bardenas und den #Pyrenäen. Sie folgen dem Lauf der #Route des #Roncal-Tales.
Diese Umzüge setzen eine große Ausdauer der Schafe voraus, die sich gut an die Berge sowie an die Steppe anpassen. Sie gehören zu der einheimischen "Navarra-Rasse". Die Gebrüder Sanz halten sie sehr rein und besitzen eine beispielhafte #Herde.
