I don't know where I can get La Danza where I live, but I have a decant of Casablanca. I like it! I think maybe because I'm not into gourmand scents, but it did given me an impression of caramel-covered apples! Just a hint of apple, and something sugary. Fresh for something that sounds warm on paper.

I recently sniffed La Danza in a store whilst on holiday and it was love at first sniff for me too :-) I didn't know the notes before smelling so had no expectations, and loved the sweet and fruity opening. I've worn my sample today and really enjoyed it, so it's definitely on my to buy list. I've never smelt Casablanca but I don't really think of La Danza as apple pie - although it's sweet to me with the vanilla, I don't think gourmand leaning for some reason at all, sweet fruit and vanilla but nothing further.

I just blind ordered La Danza on a whim today 😂 I am not in the habit of blind buying (anymore) but I dont know why I hve a gut feeling that I will like it. I have been hearing about Casablanca for many years since I started watching perfume reviews on youtube but the many notes sort of threw me off of it. I will see how I like La Danza when it comes and then decide.

I want to try it for so long now, but it's so hard to get a sample or decant and I'm afraid to blind buy it given the price tag 🤷‍♀️

I've never tried either of these. I smelled Malia from Nobile 1942 a few months ago and I need to get a sample, it was very interesting. I'm so used to European perfumery, mainly French and English. I've tried many Middle Eastern style fragrances from Orientica (Al Haramain), and one each from Kajal and Ard al Zafaaran. None of them really smell nice on my skin and I don't know what is wrong with my skin. On my husband they smell beautiful! I'm wondering if it has anything to do with me being fair (burns easily), whereas he has an olive skin (tans easily) and whether there is like a fundamental pH difference. If anyone has any idea or experience do let me know. Also, ideas of other Middle Eastern brands to try

Thanks for sharing! My main problem with Middle Eastern perfumes is ultimately the blend so few that I tried are "well rounded" in my opinion so I don't try I lot of them honestly and can't tell you much. I heard about the color of skin and perfumes from a sales person one day, but I don't think it's true. I think apart from the different ph in each of us skins, there is the warmth issue...I found people who get warm easily and sweat more have a unique experience with fragrances, but at the end that's only my personal opinion and experience 🤷‍♀️

I enjoy middle eastern style parfums but my skin is thirsty: seldom anything lasts unless I re-spray and do many sprays ;;:)) Have you tried Euphoria Pure Gold (Calvin Klein)? Has that super sexy vibe and can lean Middle Eastern.

Yes, you nailed it, Although I am an Arab with fair/medium skin I still do not vibe that much with middle eastern perfumes (made in the middle east) to me they are not that sophisticated and the blending is not mastered. I tend to agree that middle eastern fragrances develop a lot better on medium to rich skins, it is all about the PH Chemistry. This is my personal opinion.

La Danza is very overhyped. I was a little bit underwhelmed when I received my travel spray. It’s pretty and easy to wear anywhere and anytime but I was expecting something more spectacular! ☺️ That said, I’m very curious to see what else the brand has to offer.

Ladies, I add a touch of La Libellule to any of the so called Clean Fragrances, i.e. Blanche de Byredo post- shower in warm summer months. Pure Heaven of chic and clean :)
