Why doesn’t LAX have its own Fire Dep. like most other airports have?

This seems to be a fire warning or a fire in the building - airports do have a fire service but usually only for aircraft incidents/accidents, with very different equipment.

The turbulence scared the crap out of me because i got a dropping feeling when it happened and also im not use to flying sence this is my first time

@@jovanholland36 Unfortunately, I have flown a lot. Sometimes it is smooth and sometimes it is a rollercoaster ride. I usually have easy things to do with me to keep my mind busy like word searches, a book, etc. I also wear "earplanes" which are a special kind of earplug that helps protect inner ear against pressure changes. I take meclizine (over the counter at Walmart) for motion sickness. I take 1 tablet every 10 hours I am in the air. I avoid alcohol because flying dehydrates you and alcohol's effect is stronger when you fly. I only drink water on planes so if it spills on me due to turbulence, I don't get sticky. I try to sit on an aisle over the wing as plane movement is felt less there. The further towards the back you go, the more movement is felt. Another thing that helps me is singing hymns inside my head. I move my lips only. I also pray. The good news is pilots are well trained to manage turbulence. I try to think about it like bumps in a car on a road. Night flights or very early flights are often smoother. I do not fly in turboprops or helicopters because they can be bumpier than bigger planes. There is a great website that has "Air Turbulence Forecast" and you can see if it is likely to be turbulent. It is just a forecast so not always 100% accurate. High wind, mountains, heat from deserts, flying over oceans, and thunderstorms can be bumpy. Once I landed in Istanbul and the winter wind Turks call "Lodo" was ripping roofs off buildings. I had already flown 8 hours and still needed a 15 hour flight. When I got to my connecting aircraft the wind was pushing the parked airplane from all sides causing me to get sick. They took me back to the terminal and I flew out the next day instead and the flight was smooth. Another thing to remember is when you are on the plane it does feel like a huge drop but truly isn't that much and the plane can recover. Pilots have to get permission to change altitude and they will ask air traffic control and planes ahead to help them find a smoother path. Planes are built for safety.
