Director: Unknown
Production Company: Société des Etablissements L. Gaumont
Country: France
Notes: This film is frequently attributed to Alice Guy. Guy got married on March 6 and left Gaumont and France for the USA on March 9, 1907 to accompany her new husband whom Gaumont had sent to Cleveland to train people in the use of the company's chronophone. In 1910 Guy establishes her own film production company Solax and doesn't return to France until 1922. The last film we know for sure at Gaumont is L'Assassin (catalogue no. 1574). La Glu is no. 1666 in Gaumont's catalogue and unlikely, though not impossible, to have been directed by Guy. Moreover, The Moving Picture World's October, 1907 issue announces La Glu (The Glue) as one of Gaumont's latest releases and entering the US market the week of October 28, 1907. If Guy directed the film before March 1907 it seems likely that it would've been released in the USA earlier than the end of October.
