Beautiful DoDos Mikey. I can still hear Capt. Judy yelling. ' Leave him in the water till we get another on the hook.' Fish came 'bouncing' in hitting you in the face if not careful, we had 3 guys fishing. In 5 min there was 20 medium sized Dorados in the boat from that sargasso weed paddy. The next paddy yielded a triple tail.

Dang!. I guess you had a lot better luck that day at La Jolla then I or a bunch of us had. We had all the foamers and didn't even need to move after a short time, because the Bluefin would just come back to your area. All the while there were blow ups everywhere. Too bad I did not have more live bait. After they took my live bait, throwing every jig I could, didn't help. I would have loved one of those Dodo's. Tight Lines, Mikey.
@SDFishandSips3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mark. Yes, we were blessed to be able to hook up and land these fish when they came through. Hopefully they stick around or this becomes the new norm. Tuna and dorado every summer in La Jolla. Haha. Tight lines!

Was there a kelp paddy located next to those dorado during 11:30? And oh my, that dorado was massive! How much pounds was it?
@SDFishandSips3 жыл бұрын
Yes there was. I think that dorado was around 30lbs. Not sure exactly. Tight lines my man!

Mikey you need more fish! Switch your foamer lures to the Shimano Jerkbait 140f and 170f they absolutely killed the bluefin on foamers all season long. They have a lip on the head which makes them swim better and dive a little bit. I think I saw one youtuber using them and he said they worked really well for him too.

Do you guys sell the meat or keep everything? Dope fishing 👌
@SDFishandSips3 жыл бұрын
We sell it. I keep what I need to eat personally but that is usually by catch or other non game fish varieties. I haven’t gotten into eating mackerel yet but want to give it a try. Thanks for watching!

Are they still around the area? What line class would you recommend? 🤙🏽🙏🏾

They’ve moved out of that area. I would say 30lb flurocarbon for flyline slow troll mackerel.
