If you think about it: SmackDown really doesn't have a men's title being fought over... IC and WHC belts are on RAW, tag titles are on RAW wrestlers. Roman is going to hold the universal title until 2025 so he can beat Hogan's record and he is rarely there anyhow (and nobody seems interested in taking it off him). That leaves the US title, of which Santos Escobar seems to be the only one wanting to chase after it - even Austin Theory's interest in winning it back seems to have died down. Just kinda weird.

Imagine LA Knight dethroning Roman at WM40, and then an enraged Cody attacks him post match. Of course LA would drop him with the BFT, but that could start a huge rivalry. Cody all salty that LA took his shot. He turns on the fans for abandoning him in favor of Knight. And because Kight is basically a heel, he doesn't care and keeps kicking Cody's ass until Cody assembles a faction to make Knight's life absolute hell. So many directions it could go.

Seems clear you guys didn't watch the show. The triple threat match for Sky, Asuka and Charlotte was not a challenge made by Asuka. Asuka spoke in Japanese and Bayley responded as if she understood what she was saying, putting Sky in a disadvantageous match, making it clear that Bayley wants Sky to lose the title likely due to internal jealousy in the group. Also, Rey and Santos Escobar had a conclusive finish and a long match, it was not interfered in. It was a post-match beat-down from the Street Profits. Guys. You can be honest if you didn't watch the show yet, it's not a big deal.

By the time WrestleMania 40 comes around next year Roman is only going to be 5 months away from beating Hulk Hogan's title run (he'll surpass it in mid Septmeber 2024) so it won't be anybody beating him at WrestleMania next year. That also means that it won't be Cody vs Roman - kind of pointless to have Cody fail to "finish the story" two WrestleManias in a row. It'll probably be Roman beating down one of The Usos. Either way, you already know how the match will go: - Slow and plodding start - A bit of back and forth - Roman takes a beating - he looks like he is going to lose! - Referee gets knocked out - Somebody from The Bloodline interferes - A superman punch and a spear later... Roman Wins! The only question is going to be: will Roman do the spot where he and opponent are outside the ring and he spears him in to the timekeepers area?
