I'm digging the Jazz/swing feel in the beginning, but I would leave the first time through the main melody true to the movie before expanding into the awesome stuff. And then I would also end with a slow version of the original theme. Just to keep the feeling of the movie in the song. This ending totally throws the movie aside. Other than that, I still love it!

With all those ideas you should make your own arrangement. Considering the movie is about a jazz pianist who loves Thelonius Monk etc. I strongly disagree with you that my ending disregards the movie. In fact it was inspired by how Ryan Gosling finishes the song at the restaurant.

The Mad Arranger / Jacob Koller I'm nowhere near the composer you are. I just play your stuff😂 I was just giving my two cents. I went back and rewatched the first time this song was played in the movie, and you were right. However, they allude to it again in the end scene and the end of the song is just him trailing off sadly with the Mia/Sebastian theme. I still give every one of your videos a thumbs up (including this one), but just wanted to give some constructive criticism👍🏼 Have a good one!
