Great footage, and lots of happy memories of a tough day on the bike. Can’t wait for the next one

And a jolly good time was (not) had by all. I may be jumping to conclusions on a short video series, but this looks like a large number of well equipped amateur cyclists not being looked after sufficiently by the event organisers. Too many ambulance sirens are going off - in the high mountains in a hotter world, fleets of e-motorbikes need to be ferrying water to riders out on the road, some with grab-handles to pull the exhausted up the cols to where they can be helped. Riders finishing in such extremity that they can't form saliva in their mouths? F*ck that.

I expected less moto-bikes , cars and mobile homes on this course. Actually I thought that certain parts would not be allowed for vehicles . Now I know better !

This is cycling , nobody is forced to do it. There are other recreational activities like golf or darts for those who are uncomfortable with a bit of sweating.

This isn’t a nanny state. Anyone entering Marmotte should be prepared that it’s probably going to be roasting and experienced enough to deal with it. The organisers put on additional water stops half way up Telegraphe and Galibier and Alpe and there is plenty of medical help on hand if needed
