What are some of the issues that would arise with having a over scaled machine?

the same machine in the restaurant i work,,,today it is not coming out the hot water from the group,so we stop to serve espresso.. do you know what is the solution for this matter,please. many thanks.

This is only typical of shitty cafes that don't do regular service and repair on their machines. Its not like every old machine is scaled over, dirty POS like this nightmare of a machine.
