@@TheAshMcG The last part of your reply Is correct. The vast majority of homeless Are messed up on drugs and alcohol and don't want any responsibility. But that's not everyone that's homeless, I take home a thousand dollars a week But don't even qualify to get my own apartment Because I still don't make enough. Not everything is black and white in life,matter of fact, most things are a grey area. Should we just assume that all black people are horrible violent criminals, because that's mostly what you see? As humans, we tend to look at things and assume we have it all figured out and know everything thats going on.... Have you ever heard the saying the man that knows something knows he knows nothing... Think on that for a little while

Anyone else notice that delivery man at 24:40 just drop that package over the gate and take a photo? That is one of the reasons you should always do a signature on delivery and set up a time for it to be delivered so your purchased goods aren't just dropped precariously over a gate.

Not his first, second, or even third warning to move it. They give these RV's several notices and plenty of time but he chose to ignore them or to ignore them until the tow truck showed up. At first he said "they" cut his wires and then he said he needed a battery. He created way too much drama. People, police, (me) don't want to work with anyone who is yelling, cussing, running around waving their arms. All in all he was able to drive if off.

an RV has been on my street a year in Venice. City puts up pamphlets just like in this video to pressure the RV to move. It doesn't. It just sits there while all these cleaners/parking enforcement/ cops stand around it. You can smell the piss 15 ft away. Parking enforcement just jokes around with him. He pops the hood and says he can't move it. Surrounding the RV guy had 2 other vans, which he moved. The city will probably name this street after him. Incompetent

I dont have a problem with them RVing but they must remain legal and responsible, tags, license, insurance, and move by the parking guidelines. These are the same people who get apartments, dont pay the rent, destroy the apartment and grounds. The public cant give them self pride but we shouldn't have to tolerate their lack of it either

I lived in and around the Santa Monica Beach/Venice Beach area for a very long time. The thing about the area where that guy was parked is those apartments and the few single family dwellings are very old. Pre- WW-2. Those buildings have little to no private parking spaces for the residents. So most of the residents are forced to rely on street parking. It's a monumental headache, and when the beach is crowded, forget it... and the beach is crowded a lot. You can't find parking. I'm shocked that those people were able to keep their RV's parked there for over a year and a half. Back in the day that would have never been allowed. The cops and Bruffy's Tow would have taken his RV after one week. I know it's become a huge problem now-a-days, but believe me... Venice Beach has always had a serious homeless problem. I'd come home in the early morning hours after work and I'd have to step over all of the homeless people sleeping on the porch of my building just to get into my apartment. Dealing with the homeless has always been a part of living in Venice Beach since the 1960's when POP (Pacific Ocean Park) was still in operation in Venice/SM. When I lived on Brooks and Speedway a couple blocks from Horizon and Speedway where this guy was getting towed I would come home after work at 2:30 or 3:00 AM and I wouldn't be able to find a parking space anywhere near where I lived. It was sketchy walking home in the wee morning hours because I couldn't find a space near where I lived. The idea that people living in RV's want to park there full time? That's nuts. Parking in that area is so hard to find that I wouldn't want to drive on the weekends if I had a parking space close to home. People would call and say come over and lets do something, and I'd answer... "No I can't, I don't want to lose my parking space." The parking problem was the main reason why I moved out of Venice Beach. I liked living a half a block from the ocean, but the parking problem was ridiculous. Back in those days anywhere you went you had to be careful about what part of Venice Beach you were walking in after the sun went down. Anywhere east of the beach, just past Electric Avenue, between Lincoln Blvd, Rose Ave, and Venice Blvd, was considered Ghost Town. You could lose your life going in there, especially at night. So parking was scarce in the safer area's closer to the beach "We gonna walk down to Electric Avenue and then we'll take it higher." Wasn't a joke. That song actually meant something. The fact that this guy was squatting in a parking spot for over a year and a half? That's not only rude and inconsiderate towards the people that live there, it's just plain ignorant. He could have bought that battery the day before and drove his backside out of there before the cops ever showed up. But back when I lived there if he brandished a weapon and beat up a resident he'd still be in the county lock-up to this very day. I'm glad I don't live there anymore. :-I

Guys standing right there with a battery. But nope! Let’s rain down more financial distress on already financially distressed people. And not allow him to retrieve his belongings. And so many people can’t understand why there’s such a disconnect between cops and the community. The crime scene tape says it all. This man is NOT a criminal.
@GeorgeBonez Жыл бұрын
This guy with the big RV is right about the sign. It should have a p-code or statute if there has been legislation to prohibit parking. A sheet of paper taped to a pole is hardly proper signage. Yes he’s frustrated which is understandable but he seems to be a smart well spoken guy that does not appear to be on drugs or have any mental issues. He seems to be a good candidate for help not further penalization. CA State Liberal WOKE Gov causes these problems and they have NO idea or will to fix anything!!! Pretty sad!!! Look how the elitist treat the man and they wonder why The People hate the Gov and Police!
