Are they narrow? I have gtx and its really narrow.

The make a wide. I sized up half size to 12.5 and it fits great. Leaves room for 10+ mile swollen feet. Just picked them up and loving them so far. Comfy, breathable even w gtx, light, nimble, super grippy and sure footed. Great all around boot that will cover many uses alpine and below.
