what a wonderful video It is a jewel. I first heard Valerie Masterson on the Rossini recording, Elisabetta, and I regularly listen to that opera mostly because of Valerie's beautiful voice, and Montserrat Caballé's Elisabetta. Both wonderful sopranos, beautiful voices. In this traviata she is sensational. Thanks for the video, it's a joy to watch ¡¡

What a joy to find this. I have listened to Valerie's recording so many times, but never saw her perform it live. How beautiful she is, I think I've just died and gone to heaven. Thank you so much for posting.

Oh my beloved Valerie Masterson. I've waited forty years to see this. Thanks so much for uploading. I have the ENO recording and saw her sing this live but this is wonderful. Would love to get it sound edited but even so, many, many thanks!

A beautiful lady singing beautiful songs. She's in her nineties now and I still love her and always will. I've told my wife:-)

Don, I agree with everything you say about the divine Valerie but she's actually 79 not in her 90s..
