Also btw 1:42 forgot to say this, this is a different song it’s was just mashed together in the Waterloo soundtrack it’s actually the girl I left behind a British marching-folk song from the seven years war

We, Polish still remember the magnificent friendship and support of Napoleon Bonaparte for the Polish Cause: Free and independent Poland and Lithuania. There's a lot of memorial places, street names etc. devoted to Napoleon and the Napoleonic Army, of course including Poles who fought in it. There are Napoleonic fortifications and redoubts in many Polish cities, still remembered and cared for. There is a memory of Polish Chevau-Légers ("szwoleżerowie" in Polish) and chasseurs ("szaserzy") in the Napoleonic Army, they have their monuments, as well as streets and squares named to their memory. The greatest Polish authors like Adam Mickiewicz or Boleslaw Prus commemorated Napoleonic times and glory. We regret Napoleon's defeat as much as you French do. And we regret one thing: that He was so hurrying in his invasion on Russia. Had He and His army stayed at least one year in Poland and Lithuania, He would reinforce it to the brim with soldiers, guns, warm clothing, food, equipment and everything. It *WAS POSSIBLE* to win against russkies. Salutations cordiales, mon ami!
