Hi Kimyi Chin, If you only give it a soft reset, you won't loose any data, but if you restore your iPad with recovery mode, it will erase all the data from your device.

I dropped a sub, but my computer kept on shutting down because I left it so I just kept on moving my mouse so it doesn’t shut down and say iPad not detected, and that time it worked, if I didn’t come here I wouldn’t have knew to use iTunes. Hi Steppa Peppa, Have your PC Downloaded the Software needed? if so, disconnect the devices, restart it, connect them and start the the process all over again. It might take 3-5 tries. Also you can try another method. Some users have said, they let their iPad drained of power, (it could take up to 2-3 days) then when it is completely dead, keep it on charge over night and the problem was fixed.

Hi Divize Shredder, First Try giving your iPad a Force restart, it often bring the iPad back from boot loop. If it does not fix the issue, before giving it a hard reset, you can let it drain out of power completely, then keep it on charge overnight. Some users have said it has fixed the issue without data loss. so you can give it a try.
