@@HouseOfHacks lol, well, i used a couple arduinos and a play station controller , the usb hat, nrf24 modules and made my electronics for an rc plane, i have some pics on FB (William (billy) Joy), youll have to scroll down my page theres a few vids too, but my plan is to use rasp4 to be a master flight computer, I need PID autopilot, i need gps, orientation and magnetic direction, modules, etc, i have 3D printer, im gonna make a serious home made uav, i went to penn state for aerospace eng 20 years age. i dropped out my final semester and became an alcoholic, now im almost two years sober and i wanna build my home made planes, lol at work i build bar room slot machines. Pennsyvania skills , cherry masters and stuff, so now my boss can get me thing cheap. Any way id love to chat with you when i have more time , btk0512@gmail.com. facebook.com/william.k.joy if you have any ideas for me im open, i am gonna buy a foam board plane kit from flight test of the p-38 lightning , i like that design because 2 engine means i can use differential thrust to turn instead of rudders, i already wrote the programming for it. and i wanna make it drone like or whats called VTOL, (vertical take off and landing); no runway

I'm having huge issues with the fan noise. Do you think that is possible to change the provided fan with a Noctua NF-A4X10? I'm trying to figure out how to modify this case to fit this fan, but I'm not very handy...

Hi Harley. I just bought the same kit from Amazon, although it differs slightly. I plan to use it as an "insider" on my network to send a WOL token to my Ubuntu media server remotely over the internet from my cellphone.
@HouseOfHacks3 жыл бұрын
Cool! Is that using all of the shelf software or will you be writing part of it yourself?
@MrJtjamison3 жыл бұрын
@@HouseOfHacks A bit of both actually. In theory I should be able to use Tasker with the ssh plugin on my android (both available from the google play store) to tunnel through to the PI and run a homemade shell script using etherwake (downloadable from repositories using either: sudo apt install etherwake or sudo snap install etherwake from a terminal) to pass the token. Assuming this works as planned, if you think this would make a good project for your subscribers, I would be willing to work with you on a tutorial. It can be modified to work with any PC that is WOL capable. BTW, I replaced the default load of Raspian with the arm version of Ubuntu on my PI due to a possible security vulnerability with Raspian OS found yesterday Feb. 5th. Most people this is not going to bother, however, no one seems to know where it came from, or why it exists, so it may, in fact, be malicious. Microsoft has added it's VS code repository as well as it's GPG key to Raspian's systems package sources. Basically this allows Microsoft root level access to your PI. See kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqa8gXylnd-iaLs for more info.

@@MrJtjamison Sounds like an interesting build! Thanks for the offer on the tutorial, very kind of you. At this point, I think that'd be too in-depth for my target audience though. Also, thanks for the heads-up on the security issue. Peace!

Me: Searches KZbin to find out how to open the case without breaking it. Find this video. 3:45 "I assume it kinda snaps open...somehow, won't do that here on camera." Me: "God damn it."
@HouseOfHacks3 жыл бұрын
Sorry about that. It does just snap apart pretty easily with finger pressure.
