There is a Russian proverb dedicated to these birds: every sandpiper praises its swamp. Thank you very much for your work.

I moved to Ithaca in 1964 and was stunned to discover the Lab! 2 miles from my home and was able to rear my children to love and understand the beauty of birds and also to lead my G.S. troops in the same experience. The grad students met them early on Sat. mornings to explore and learn! My son is now a bird photographer! It has been so exciting to see how the Lab. has grown! thank you SO much!

Really wonderful. Thank you, Mr. Vyn, for putting on the chest waders and lying in the muck, and walking the tundra, to get such amazing footage. Things I will never get to see in my lifetime except through your lens. Thank you so much!

Beautiful photography - and fascinating information. How wonderful to have such a job as is yours ! One can only hope that the Yellow Sea area does not become too polluted to enable these birds to thrive. I have to say that I am surprised that anywhere in China / East Asia is actually ok for birdlife .... Long may it continue 🥰

The person who is allowed to and can see all this is so incredibly privileged. It's hard work with regular hardships I suppose. I only mention the plague of mosquitoes. But despite these things, it remains an unprecedented privilege. Been to Siberia twice. Once in the Lena Delta and once in the Indigirka Delta. I will never forget those two trips in my entire life.
