With baby 3 went to birthcenter not really having contractions - just an achy lower back and was already a 4. Contractions felt more like BH kind. So it's better to go in . Definitely good to have tools for labor coping. For me warm water was biggest help

Genuinely curious, no hate. I’ve had 4 babies all natural. You were so calm during pushing and everything. I was crying and screaming bloody murder 😅 can you just not feel anything with an epidural or what?😂

jdelak8454 The epidural numbs the pelvic, legs, back and the pain from the contractions. Epidural provides pain relieve because the medicine in the epidural is a combination of Novocain and Fentanyl. That's is why many women will take a nap during labor because they don't feel the contractions or any other pain. I have known several women who felt high from the Fentanyl and just report that they didn't feel any pain during the entire time of labor and delivery.
