Labor ‘playing politics’ while the ‘slow-motion energy train wreck’ continues

Sky News host Peta Credlin says the “slow-motion energy train-wreck” continues as Labor plays politics.
The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has released a paper stating that the lack of gas-fired power to back up renewables “puts the entire east coast of Australia’s energy security at risk”.
“So much for Labor being on the side of the battler - not anymore, not under this hard left Prime Minister who is more interested in courting the Greens than looking after Labor’s traditional base,” Ms Credlin said.

By the time they finish installing the fans and mirrors it'll be time to start at the beginning again replacing those fans and mirrors which are at the end of their life. This problem has been ongoing for decades. No government has tackled it because of the enormous tax revenue exporting gas makes. Had renewables been taken seriously 10 years ago we would be in a better position now. Governments knew coal powered plants were becoming obsolete and run down. The cost to subsidize them was becoming staggering. And here we are, blaming everything on a government two years into their tenure for a problem decades in the making.
