So - the leader appoints competent people and lets them get on with fulfilling their role within a cabinet agreed framework. That's the idea of cabinet government. The leader doesn't have to act up passion (real or fake) and is much better coldly and calmly dissecting opposition and letting his team do their jobs. Whether he does that role well, badly, or good enough, is a separate issue. Every law abiding person in this country has a story about how they followed the rules and how it affected them, I came back from holiday from a country with a lower R rate than UK, but despite it being ridiculous, my wife and I stayed in isolation as prescribed. My friend died in hospital in his 50's , no-one could visit him, it was not quick but these fuckers were ignoring the rules and som people are still trying to say it's not important.

Highest tax ever.....most of it put there by Calamity Brown. Council Tax and petrol prices DOUBLED.....and a meagre stingy personal tax allowance of £6,450 which is now double thanks to nice, caring Tories. In 2008/9, I had a min. wage job at 14k ann. less 2k in tax and then council tax at 1k...left just £11k = that's Labour poverty for you...thanks to Calamity Brown. PTA = currently £12,570...thanks to nice, caring Tories.

2009....Brown rammed up top tax to 50% from 40%...a nasty Labour tax bombshell.
@jeffworthington9286 Жыл бұрын
@@malthusXIII-fo3ep what are you on , they have fixed the freshold for 5 years meaning as your wages increase your allowance will stay at £1250 which will take people into the next fresh hold meaning 40% tax bracket. My council tax as doubled whilst this government have been in power. I remember under the last Tory government my interest rates went to 15% . Look at the last labour government record . We had not had it so good . Labour left office with a debt of £750 billion because of a financial crash they had no choice but to bail them out. This government are 2.5 trillion and counting. How many people use food banks now compared to under Labour , and they are working. I think you need a reality check.

@@malthusXIII-fo3ep Doesn't wash mate. These cretins have been in power for 13 years. So yes the highest tax burden ever, on their extensive and turbulent watch, characterised by stagnant wage growth, profligate spending and waste, handing eye watering sums to their mates. It has not been equally felt though. The rich have got way richer as a result of the emphasis on indirect forms of tax while the poor have been further nobbled by the spiralling cost of living crisis.
