Don't forget the time she criticised the NHS for actively recruiting nurses from Finland. I have to wonder... is Antisemitism the mention of the word Jew because The Irish and travellers were also mentioned in the same piece and have some how been erased. It's also interesting that racism towards black people is seen as "the obvious" yet it's still okay for everyone to be completely unclear and subjective about what racism to black people looks like and when it can be called out. Diane recognised the hardships faced by those different communities but categorised it under prejudice rather than racism. This could be because more effort was once put into using bogus "academic" rhetoric such as Eugenics and "Scientific Racism" to go to extreme lengths to condition people to classify race based of physical features and make people believe that black people were lesser than to make the mistreatment of them more acceptable, and the damage of that is still ingrained within most institutions that exist today and continue to impact black people negatively. So it's not farfetched to see why people of colour may identify and acknowledge the pain and suffering of others but may classify it differently. Before criminalising differences around classification, education should be the response. There was clearly no ill intent from Diane, and no target aimed specifically at Jews here. Black people did not create racism and have a hard time being believed or supported when they do experience it, so it's up to that systems that be and those who are soooo clear on Antisemitism to educate us all on Antisemitism and what racism really is, so that we can all access this level of clarity, unity and justice when needed.

They should not be on strike straight after a pandemic we should all be pulling together to get the country back on its feet. Starmer can say what he likes it is the Labour unions who are behind the strikes kicking the public in the teeth at a time of crisis is diabolical in my opinion.

Diane Abbot wrote about Teavellers the Irish and Jews but they are only talking about antisemitism. So why hant anyone in this discussion mentioned Travellers and the Irish. Disagree with the premise of her letter; trying to quantify and create a hierarchy of the abused. What’s the point. Every one who is abused feels abused. But she has every right to express her opinion from her perspective. However, to call the letter anti-semitic is not fair. I suppose, if you are looking to find offence to any particular group, you can infer anything. But I suppose is the prerogative of the virtue- signaller.

But when you submit a letter responding to somebody so publicly then you have read it, others have read it I assume and haven’t thought to advise you against it. It is inexcusable so she should go.
