I worked out how much they are spending on Migrants , only their housing and weekly allowances . They said there was a 'black hole' of £20 Billion. They're spending £1 Billion A YEAR just on hotels and a further £ 35 - 55 BILLION a year on their weekly allowances of £50 a week - (close to the amount of Unemployment Benefit of £70 a week paid to British people, who've paid into the system all their lives - If they really want to save £36 BILLION PLUS , all they need to do is fly the migrants home. But no, we must all suffer instead.

What mess exactly? 2008 was a much better time to be alive than it is now in Britain. Almost every company used to pay time and a half/double overtime. People could afford bills easily and had hope of saving for their own home. Whoever is in power, there are unpleasant decisions to be faced. There are a lot of people, including this pensioner, fairly comfortable, who can take some pain (Winter fuel etc etc) And if Labour mess it up, we can change them. Any administration needs a bit of time (actually 4 years, barely enough) to turn matters around. Borrowing too much is a tax on our grandkids... To get Pension Credit the form is 20 pages long and 240 questions long. What a joke some pensioners might not be able to fill it in or do it by phone or computer so they will miss out. There was something about 4 months as well.

Well they won’t tax the rich (they have their own donors to protect), and they won’t close the tax loopholes they so readily abuse to protect their own wealth! As they keep a close eye on benefit claimants and pensioners, every MP’s bank accounts and share dealings need to be kept open in the public domain in real-time! Equality and inclusion IS for everyone right!

I agree.there is no need to raise tax or stop the pensioners heating allowance.if we are supposed to be in a bad way then stop all the money we give to immigrants who contribute bugger all to the country.stop the £3 billion promised to zalensky to fight the Russians and the £11 billion we give to africa.problem solved Also MP's don't claim all your outrageus expenses.

Buiseness will close down because of fuel prices, extra taxes on people who then will Not be able to go out into shops that often and keep some money for heating. But the whole problem is the inflox of people who is now out of control. The people are getting knifed and the culprits get away with us.

Where this money going….? We had austerity that Labour strangely opposed and no they are increasing taxes everywhere to pay public sector wage increases to people who are already over paid and deserve 0. So why are they increases taxes when they said no tax increases and were against everything around spending control the tories did. Is this an admission they were totally wrong?

If the OBR has to check the government's figures before a budget..... How is it that the Home Office was 7.8 billion over budget on immigration I wonder.
