Labour: Scottish independence 'so far down the list of priorities'

Labour's Shadow Scotland Secretary Ian Murray told Trevor Phillips that the polls in Scotland overall would put Labour ahead, but the party is "taking nothing for chances".
He added that the question of Scottish independence has "gone so far down the list of priorities it's nearly fallen off the end" due to cost of living worries, NHS waiting lists, and fears for the future.

It’s not Anglo-centric. Only the SNP want to drive that narrative. Vast areas of England have the same challenges. Vast areas of the EU are much worse. UK reform is the best answer. What that looks like? Federalism? regional devo-max? Let’s fix that - not smash the place up. The social and family bonds, military, currency, language, history, seat at G7 G20 NATO etc The UK has great global respect and influence - all too valuable to throw it all away.
